WORX WG163E 20V PowerShare Cordless Grass Trimmer 30cm

We have always had a petrol strimmer/brush cutter. However this broke down recently and I decided to get an electric one. After reading a lot of the reviews on here I decided to take the plunge and purchase this grass strimmer. I have not been disappointed! It is lightweight but sturdy. The battery is probably the heaviest part of it. At first I didn't leave the battery charging for long enough, but once fully charged it lasted the full time I needed it to. I cut the edges of my grass area in my back garden. It did a beautiful job! Then I moved on to a more challenging job at the side of my house where the grass has been left to grow all year so far. It coped much better than I expected with the very long grass and although I had to go over some areas a couple of times, I have to say I was very impressed by the unit. (Picture shows the grass and weeds before and after). It is comfortable to use with adjustable length and handle grip. The feature that allows for more cutting wire to be fed out is brilliant as you don't need to stop and adjust it - just press the button! Overall I would highly recommend this product for light home use. It's not going to measure up to a petrol strimmer for power and performance but it is certainly good enough for my purpose and is much lighter and easier to operate. I may come back and update about reliability in a while.

I have an industrial ,petrol strimmer which ca be overkill for borders and small patches of weeds,so I saw this cordless strimmer and as the price was good thought I’d give it a go. I am totally amazed at what it can tackle considering the size and weight of the strimmer. The 20v motor has enough torque to deal with almost all grass types and even thinner nettles and weeds. It’s very light and easy to use. The handle is adjustable for length and works for my over six foot height. It comes with two batteries which seem to last about 20 to 30 mins each.Might be less in cold weather. It stores easily due to folding grip and collapsible handle. I am totally happy with this product and would highly recommend it.

Previously had a petrol strimmer . Looked at lots of brands and reviews before choosing the Work and it was definitely a good choice. It’s light , so no more using a strap over shoulder and putting pressure on side muscles and lower back . It can be adjusted for length and also angle of the head that is really useful . It’s power is good for cutting grass , small undergrowth and nettles etc but nothing more . Maybe with a thicker cord it could but I have not tried .The edging rotation is really useful and it does do nice lines between grass and pavers. Cordless and battery is ideal , with good functionality. But I would only recommend this product if it’s comes with 2 batteries as did mine . The batteries only last 15-20 minutes max and the charger takes 5 hrs to charge a fully discharged battery .

Father’s Day present to myself! A truly amazing piece of kit! Tried it out for the first time today. The weeds and grass on our allotment were out of hand, thick and at least 20-25 cm tall. Turned out to be easy to set up and use. It made short work of the thick growth. On a full charge, the battery lasted around 40-45 minutes and the thick growth on a good size patch was taken down to ground level. The string was really durable…I only had to extend it once during the session! I would unreservedly recommend this WORX strimmer, it fully justifies a 5 star rating having absolutely exceeded my expectations!

I wasn’t sure how good this would be but I decided to try it after reading the reviews. I charged up both batteries which took a while. I’m guessing it’s a trickle charger. We have a grass section in our front garden which slopes a lot and it’s difficult to cut with a mower so I can only storm the whole thing. My other strimmer(corded) has twin cutting lines but it’s heavy and you constantly have to extend the lines when they break. This made short work of cutting this area. The command feed is a joy to use and saves a lot of frustration. It’s quite light and extremely adjustable so I can set the cutting head to the same angle as the slope. I used it for the first time this morning and had it finished in 10-15 minutes. It normally takes a lot longer than that. It’s certainly powerful enough with the 2Ah battery which I did wonder about and there seems to be plenty of life left in the battery for a second cut before charging. All in all, I’m really pleased with the performance and may look into their other battery garden tools. One other thing. Original delivery date was 2nd July but I got an email saying it was arriving on the 24th June so a bonus there as well. Hopefully it lasts a while but, at the moment, I don’t see why it wouldn’t Highly recommend this.

Pretty good unit as compared to the previous and more expensive Bosch strimmer. Also have a Stihl 2 stroke strimmer, bigger, heavier, super noisy but soo well balanced, 15 plus yrs old and still work good, never been serviced!! These battery units place quite a bit of stress on your forearm this is inevitable as they dont have the counter balancing weight of a 2 stroke engine.. Battery life is good and the unit is more than adequate for a small medium size garden. The edging feature is great, i use the little strimmer more often than not. The charger does work, compare to the Bosch unit!

My trusty Worx strimmer finally gave up and I had to buy a new one as I could not find out how to repair it or buy a new switch system. The last strimmer was a trooper, living on the side on a loch our garden is terraced and banks and this little strimmer has mowed down everything in its path so I opted to buy the same model and was pleasantly surprised to find this model cheaper on Amazon by this seller than on the actual Worx website and it was delivered very quickly. This model is so easy to use, being 60 yrs old I am able to strim by banks with this model as it is easy to use and light. I also can easily buy a reel of strimmer cord and re-spool the plastic spools (just got to make sure you re-spool in the correct way or the cord snaps off). I have a fast charger for the batteries which really speeds up charging time. All-in-all a great product, durable, study, light, easy to use. Having also a Worx chain saw too the kit they make are great.

Ottimo prodotto, maneggevole, leggero e potente. La batteria dura molto, ma il mio giardino non è molto grande. Spero di non avere problemi con il cambio filo.

It is not possible to register this product for an extended guarantee if you live in Ireland. Our country is not in the drop-down menu of EU countries and when I enquired on their chat-line I was fed a litany of pre-written replies and eventually my chat was ended from their end with no explanation forthcoming. Abysmal customer service, if I could leave zero stars, I would.

Le seul problème le chargeur livré pour.la France a une prise pour le reseau Anglais. Il faut un adaptateur ou changer le chargeur c'est vraiment dommage.

Bien, el corta césped, esta muy bien para un jardín, fantástico, tiene fuerza y dura bastante la batería, 45 min. ahora no esperéis que funcione a nivel hierba fuerte en terreno perdido, para esto, no sirve.
