This is great stuff. I bought it to nourish a leather hat that was rather dried out. I quickly applied it to boots and a briefcase. It really does make leather softer and protects it and gives a strong measure of water-proofing. Be aware that this product will almost always darken lighter-colored leathers. Leather items may be temporarily too greasy after application and the extra does not immediately rub off as stated somewhere in the directions. Don't worry about this however -- the product is lightweight oil and smells good -- and it will either soak into the leather or rub off with time and look great. On polished dress boots -- I find that it enhances the deep rich color of the boot and -- long-term -- improves the shine AFTER you apply a coat or two of additional polish some days later. In the short-term it will temporarily dull boot/shoe polish, but it is good for shine longer-term. Buy this product.

Ordered this oil paste by accident; however, when it arrived, I had items that could use it (boots). This product does a Great job, however, I would encourage you to use on very dark colored items. It darkens your items considerably - worked great on black boots, and a black purse, but permanently changed the color of a lighter colored, brown purse. It brought back the vitality to those items. Both items were in really bad shape. They looked almost new again…I prefer the oil (not oil paste) in this product as it leaves a small sheen on your item.

Used to soften horses saddle that had been stored for many years.After applying several coats of this oil, saddle looks good as new.

It the protection I was looking for as well as a easy product to use.

Used on leather belt and other leather goods works as advertise. Dont use on gun holsters takes away the stiffness.
