When you have a dog with allergies, finding a singular meet source that us part of a balanced diet etc is so tough. The more you look the more you see that most Beef based foods are bulked out with chicken or non listed 'animal derivatives. Barking Heads never let's me down. The dogs love the food and I know what they are being fed. I do wish the Beef would come in another size other than 12kgs especially for those trying a bag. It's a lot to pay out if your dog doesn't like or can tolerate the food. But my last three dogs have all been on Barking Heads. Great food company.

Very good quality dog food - grain free

My dog became ill on orijen with vomiting, gulping, reflux and lethargy and dull coarse fur. Transitioned her to this and she's like a new dog. Full of beans, gulping, reflux and vomiting gone. Her fur after only two weeks on this is becoming very shiny and soft and she no longer constantly searches for more food. So far, so good!The kibble size is smaller,lighter and less dense than orijen, she's used to eating much bigger sizes than this but she's a chihuahua so this is perfect. Be warned the feeding guide is too much, at least for my dog. She's on 50g a day for a six pound young adult dog. I would like to see all bags with a calorie content, as this is how I work out the right amount to keep her at at ideal weight. Barking heads have informed me this one has 356 kcal per 100g. Hope this helps others.

I thought I should change to a senior food for my two doggos Holly and Mabel as they are getting on a bit. This food has really good ingredients in it and extra supplements for joints and bones, great for my Holly as she has had a slipped disc that need operating on. I try and give them the very best I can afford and this food goes down a treat.

My Lab with skin trouble happily eats this product.So far I haven't seen any difference.My Lab is constantly chewing at her feet and anywhere else she can reach.The vet has taken a skin scrape and found nothing that can be causing her irritation.Vet says she might possibly have a food allergy and suggested giving her a course of steroid tablets along with a packet of one of their dry dog foods costing a huge amount of money for a tiny amount that wouldn't last a week of feeding.I decided to try out this product that people on here have used and said either helps or cures their dogs food allergy & skin itching. .I wish I could say that it cured my pooch of chewing her legs raw but at this point I cant do that, only wish I could.For the price of this product I am very disappointed as it hasn't so far started to fix what is a sad problem our dogs have to suffer.Wish someone can suggest a cream or other cure to help her.

People mention price here often but if you do your research right you will see that barking heads is actually one of the cheapest premium brands! some charge £25 for 2kg ! we have 10mth puppy and started introducing adult food. moving from barking heads pupp to this one - smooth transition so far, we only give her 10% of adult and rest still puppy. no loose poo, no lose of appetite. We went through a lot of reviews & articles on dog food. even before we got a dog we new exactly what she will be eating :) she is on BH and thriving!

We used to use a much more expensive brand that you see all throughout Vet surgeries over the UK, however they used to swell up and make our dog eat more than he needed.These are great, they don't swell up, and when you open the bag, it smells like meaty farts, so clearly a flavour he likes.We have been using this for a long time, and his weight has reduced at a decent rate.Highly recommend!

Das Futtern von Barking Head ist immer gut, riecht besser als die, die ich kenne. Meinem Hund schmeckt (ich gebe es ihr zusammen mit 80 g barf fleisch sonst wird sie kein trockenes Futtern fressen) . Sie hat jetzt schöneres Fell und einen festen Stuhlgang.

Das Futter hat eine gute Zusammensetzung, die Werte sind auch gut, z.B. das Protein-Fett-Verhältnis. Der Hersteller verzichtet wohltuenderweise auf die inzwischen üblichen tausend Kräuter und anderen Schnickschnack sowie auf Proteinhydrolysate - alles Dinge, die ich nicht im Futter haben will. Es wird gut vertragen, die Akzeptanz ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Bis auf die hohen Gehalte an synthetischen Vitaminen (die ich kompensiere über ein Zweitfutter ohne künstliche Vitamine) ist es für mich also ein sehr empfehlenswertes Futter.

Sehr gutes Essen für weiße Hunde. Mein Hund hat rote Haare als Reaktion auf einige Zusätze im Futter. Dieses Problem tritt nicht bei diesem Produkt auf
