Original EVENup™ Shoe Balancer/Leveler - Equalize Limb Length and Reduce Body Strain While Walking (Small)

35 year old here. Had a stress fracture, the doctor put a boot on me. All was well, until about 3 hours in, and I realized that having the boot on meant I was walking with a horrible limp because the boot was about 3 inches higher than my other foot. My lower back pain kicked in, my sciatica was triggered, and I was starting to wonder whether the stress fracture pain was worse than what I was having to experience now. To be honest, I couldn’t continue on with back pain and such, and wondered if I should call the doctor’s office and ask for a second boot just so I can walk leveled?! But then, I went online and quickly realized they actually make this product to even out your legs so that you’re walking on level ground!! Genius! And yet, so simple! I immediately purchased it, and for the 48 hours it took to arrive, my back was killing me, and the holiday shopping wasn’t finished yet! Anyway, this item arrives, I open it, and a first glance, it looks flimsy and small for my shoe. I’m thinking I’m going to have to retro fit it in some way to make it work. Anyway, I slide my foot it (wearing a regular shoe) and tighten the strap. Magic. It was pure magic! Within just a few minutes, my back cracked, my hips felt stable and aligned, even my knee stopped cracking! Argh! Amazing! I couldn’t believe how something that looked so flimsy, worked so incredibly well!! I also realized that my biggest concern was unfounded. I felt it might elevate me enough off the ground where I’d feel unstable or like I was on stilts - considering the boot was already making me taller. Nope. Absolutely not! In fact, it’s constructed in a way that it gives to the height, but also the support and traction you need to feel completely safe and stable no matter what you’re walking through. I’ve walked on snow, ice, and sleet with this with incredible traction. It’s like a rubbery, sneaker bottom. Never felt unsafe or wobbly at all. And I have young kids so I’m always on the go. I don’t think I can recommend this enough. I know that without it, I would’ve had to trade in one pain for another, and still ended up with twice as much pain. 5 stars all the way. Don’t hesitate for a second. Buy it. It’s worth it’s weight in gold.

I seriously questioned if this product would work and what the quality would be. Let me just say, it changed my life while I have to wear a boot for my fractured foot. It is so easy to put onto my Nike sneaker. I didn't need the extra level that they also send with it. I just needed the basic Even up shoe leveler. It fit my sneaker perfectly. I am a size 6 1/2 sandal and wear a 7 sneaker. I got the small. It is solid and does not shift as I walk. I was worried about that. I can actually walk almost as if I am not wearing a boot! No limp other than stiffness in the leg I have my boot on. But I swear I walk almost as normal as before. My lower back is no longer in pain from walking unevenly. But it's my spirits that are the most healed from this product. I don't feel like a gimp anymore. I suggest this product wholeheartedly. Whoever came up with this, THANK YOU!. And thanks to my podiatrist for giving me the flyer telling me about this. Get it!

An aircast or "boot" builds up the injured leg length by several inches, so walking is a lopsided, limping ordeal. The Even-Up device slips over an athletic shoe on the unafflicted foot, so your legs are the same length, and you can walk more easily without straining your hips and knees. It works well, stays on the athletic shoe pretty securely, and does the job. My only complaint is that it slips right off if you try to put it a less bulky shoe, so you are stuck with a gym type, but you aren't going to look good in that aircast anyway.

This was a very helpful appliance, in that I had to previously wear a “boot” on my left foot for acute/severe tendinitis in my Achilles tendon for nearly 3 months, and I did not have any shoes for my right foot which were high enough to even out my stride. Consequently, I wound up with back and hip pain which I am still dealing with. However, shortly after, I had to wear a boot again on the same foot for another problem, but this time I had learned about the Evenup and utilized it for my right foot. It made a tremendous difference, as I did not experience the same uneven stride, so I experienced much less pain and a faster recovery. The appliance is easy to put on a variety of different styles of shoe, and the ability to change the height is very useful. It seem to stay on several types of shoe very well and I never had a problem with it coming off or apart. I only wish I had known about it years ago!

A friend of mine recommended the EVENUP when she realized I was in a boot for a stress fracture in my foot. I did not even know there was such a product, so I was super excited to get one and try it out. I am a shoe size 6.5, I figured with the wide range of shoes (5.5-8.5) that it covered, it might be a bit big and awkward, but I was pleasantly surprised that is fits great! It evens out my legs and has taken all the pressure off my hip. This product is a GAME Changer if you are in a boot!! I told my orthopedic today that she should be offering these in her office or at least recommending them!

While the product works well with a few of my shoe options, it does not work well with some. The sneakers that I was wearing before the leveler arrived didn't even fit into the product. With many of my shoes the back of the leveler wouldn't stay up and in place. Definitely helped, though, with the shoes that fit into the leveler and didn't flop off the back.

Evenup works great! makes it so much easier to walk around with cam walker boot! I tried the 1" height first (both layers of sole) and thought it was slightly high. then I removed the top layer. (velcro attaches it from toe to heel, so it's easy to peel off.) the silicone straps are easy to stretch or roll backwards to put my shoe in, then I just roll or release them around all sides of my shoe. a narrow velcro strap fastens across the top of my foot. Most often I wear the size 38 sneaker in the photo and chose size small because the rest of my shoes are 7 or 7.5 US. it's easy to just leave the evenup fastened to my sneaker (which I slip off and on leaving the evenup in place). I like that there is a choice of heights. if I switch to another shoe that needs 1" height, then I can velcro the top layer back in. I'm pleased that the sole doesn't really stick out past the sole of my shoe. I might trip over the edges if it stuck out. YMMV based on size and shoe profile. evenup is easy, lightweight, secure, and ingenious! the last time I had to wear a boot I was stuck with it for a few months. it really pulls on my knee and hip and back to have to wobble back and forth in uneven footwear. at that time I selected my shoe that was most nearly the same height as the boot, added a thin insole to the boot, and wore only that shoe and boot. even up works really well with athletic or lace up style casual shoes with soles lower than the boot sole height. I don't really have a different type of shoe to test it with at this time.

I purchased this since I am recovering from ankle surgery and will be in a walking boot for several weeks and I do appreciate the idea of this item. When I opened the package I was incredibly disappointed in the materials used considering the price. For the most part, it looks like 2 flip-flops glued together with the rubber netting for the shoe and then one more flip-flop as the removable piece. I only had it on for maybe 10 minutes and my shoe had already left an impression in the material. I just felt like by the end of the day it would have been smooshed into nothing. With the bottom of it having the traction of a flip-flop I was sliding around on my wood floors. I did go onto my deck and that seemed a little better but if you were to wear this into any store with a smooth floor you are going to slide and possibly fall. I wear a size 8.5, at least in the shoe I was planning to wear with this and you can see from the first picture that my shoe is a little too big for the sole of the lift. The netting and strap held the shoe down but didn't keep the shoe from sliding around. In the end, I am returning this. I don't need to injure my other ankle. I will just keep visiting the chiropractor to keep my hips in line.

What a great product. If you find yourself needing to wear an air cast order this product. It will allow you to be level when you are walking instead of uneven which may lead to other issues. Fantastic. Learned about it on YouTube when searching on how to walk using an air cast or walking boot.

My podiatrist didn’t even know this existed when I asked him how to even out my gait when I had an ortho boot. This definitely helps, is sturdy, has 2 heights and relieves sore hips for sure !

It does a great job of lifting my uninjured foot while I wear a waking boot due to fracture. It stopped my lower back pain due to uneven gait before the shoe balancer. I am size 6.5 and the small fits my running shoe. I only used the lowest insert. I wouldn't recommend it be worn with a regular shoe or it will move around too much. I find it sometimes catches on carpet so have to walk carefully and don't drag foot.

This made using a walking cast so much easier. Simple to put on runners, not as easy to put on shoes without a sole lip. Liked the 3 adjustable levels. Was surprised to hear that people in the US got these with their walking cast. Come in Canada!! Get with it! These stop Hip and knee issues from developing

Good quality. This made all the difference in leveling my leg with the aircast on my opposite leg. Comfortable and safe.
