Spanish Classics for Guitar in Tablature (Classical Guitar)

Definitely buy it
John Zaradin has done the guitar world a great service with this one. Most of Albeniz's songs for the guitar are not easy to play and require much practice to perfect - hence I would recommend this book only for intermediate to advanced players. From what I can tell, most of the songs are very accurately transcribed. Sometimes finding high quality tabs for Albeniz's songs can be a challenge online, and this book covers a good range of his most famous pieces. If you really love his music, I'd say well worth the cash.

Nice book, good annotations
I really like this book. Most of the music is beyond my skill level, but there are two or three pieces in there that are approachable from an intermediate level. I would recommend it to anyone interested in learning Spanish guitar. Studying this book will certainly develop your playing skills and introduce a lot of new musical concepts. You can find performances of most of the songs from this book on You Tube, and I recommend using the videos for references as the music is quite complex. The annotations are quite good in the book, and fingerings are provided for some of the tricker parts.

Forget it!
Bought this online last year. Somehow the author has managed to get the fingering so wrong for most of these tunes. For example the fast run towards the last part of Granada (specifically bars/sections 109-116)is impossible to play from this poor positioning. The tabs are inaccurate. Don't waste your money. You will get better versions as I have done from the free of charge online tab sites.

Cordoba is Worth the Price of the Book Alone, But Does Have Some Inaccuracies
Albeniz compositions are majestic and the immediately recognizable Spanish piece "Cordoba" is worth the price of the book alone, but there are 12 beautiful and challenging compositions (Mallorca is so soothing). Yes, there are some discrepancies and inaccuracies in this book. I sightread and noticed the standard notation was right for the most part and at times and the tabs were not exact.Bottom Line: You will need to let your ear be your guide, but you can't go wrong with this collection of the enigmatic compositions of Albeniz.

Not bad
The tabs in this book are just as accurate on guitar pro. So instead of getting this book, download the guitar pro versions and save lots of money. There are also many free tabs on ultimate guitar that are accurate.About this book, the cover is beautiful but the tabs are not very accurate. And theres no markings for when to use hammer ons and pull offs. Sometimes the notes are in the wrong order and structurally incorrect. Overall it is a useful book for improving as a guitarist.

Ideal for Learning Albeniz Pieces
I am finding this book invaluable for learning the guitar pieces of Albeniz and use it alongside the CD Isaac Albeniz - Enrique Granados, on which a good number of the pieces appear. I highly recommend this clearly set out work, which is in both standard notation and tablature.
