These straps have saved my shoulders many times during many music festivals. I use them on my clear rope bags. The rope strings hurt my shoulders and these straps have stepped up to save my shoulders. Highly recommend!!!!!

Recently upgraded my hydration pack to the Lunchbox brand for festival season — which I LOVE — but has very itchy strap material when worn on bare skin. These strap covers are the perfect size to wrap around straps (including water line) and are much more comfortable than the strap material itself. Easy on/off, leaves access to front pocket, and washable too, which is a huge plus.

The pads were awkward on my shoulder. I returned them.

Our sixth grader's school has smallish lockers and as a result, the school requires string backpacks instead of the bulkier, padded-strap backpacks. String backpacks make the carrying for long periods of time a bit uncomfotable so we picked up these straps to make back carry more comfortable. For that purpose these black straps do a decent job and are certainly better than just the thin strings. Our eleven year old, who wears his backpack several hours a day, says these make carrying the bag a bit more more comfortable. However, the downsides are that, while they do work, the padding is kind of thin. Also, the straps just Velcro over the strings and they tend to slide around so they need adjusting every time the bag gets slung over his shoulders. Some type of tightening strap or fastener to keep them in place would have been nice. Bottom line, these are better than nothing but they could have been designed better.I have attched some pictures for reference.

I am using the pads on a Camelbak on bike rides. They do not stay in place, so is generally unsatisfactory for my needs. I plan to duct tape them in place, which should be better. Perhaps Velcro backing would make a difference.They might perform better on something that has less movement going on.

Put these on my Molle med ruck. Fit around the padded straps perfectly. Add just enough extra cushion. And long enough to pad my entire shoulder. Stay in place. Can't see any negative. They work well and seem to hold up to my abuse. Not to thick, not to thin. Good velcro used. Good stitching.
