John. Ellie and the rest of the family deal with the death of their beloved dog Farley. he's a big part of their lives as well as the readers.. I like howThe author Lynn Johnston delve into death of pet.as much as we don't like pets dying but as the family grows up the author realistically shows pets as pets age they will dieThis book is about Farley the find memories and stuff he saw as pet. It's sad because I lost my dog but it's humorous because the memories and love for one of the family

Like revisiting distant family
Having grown up with For Better of For Worse the Patterson's seem like family and Farley is like my own pet. Always there loyal, curious, and hungry Farley was always one of the best written characters of the strip. So reading a book in memory of him made me laugh and cry and gave me a trip down memory lane as if I had been there.

For Dog owners and lovers
This is a compilation of some of the strips from the cartoon that deal with Farley. If you have ever owned a dog there will be at least three or four, at a minimum, of the strips where you think she must have been secretly in your house/apartment and seen me and my pet together. You will laugh out loud at many of the slices of life when dealing with Farley and be prepared to shed a tear or three at some point in the book. This was a joy to read and one that i refer back to from time to time, especially when my Brittany starts to go a little crazy or goes to sleep with her legs in the air.

A good read...
A compilation of cartoons profiling the life and death of a family dog. Anyone who has raised a pruppy through to his old age will laugh out loud and perhaps shed a tear or two. It is entirely possible that only dog lovers will truely get 'Remembering Farley', I'm not sure, but everyone in our house has read and enjoyed it.

Great Farley Memories
Lovely book! My only wish that some could have been in color, like in the old Sunday funnies.

Cartoon story of a family's lovable pet dog
As a fan of the Better or For Worse comic strip books for years I was happy to review how this faithful sheep dog survived and served to became a long time beloved member of the busy Patterson household. This short book reviews the highs and lows of Farley's life. Be prepared for both a chuckle and a tear!

a lovely tribute to Farley
I looked forward to reading Lynn Johnston's daily comic strip for years when it was in the paper, but was saddened when Farley, the beloved dog, died after saving April from drowning. When i saw this tribute to Farley with his story over the years, I had to buy it, and I'm glad I did. His antics were funny and the book tells it all. Anyone who was a fan of Lynn Johnston would enjoy this book.

Perfect in the time of a loss
Perfect book to give to someone who has lost a pet. Summarizes the love of Farley throughout the years. We watch the family get him, train him, love him and laugh with him, and then lose and mourn him. Ends on a positive note. Get the kleenex!

Wonderful.
For anyone who has ever had a dog in their family. This book will make you laugh so much, but also cry. Farley was a family member, not a dog stuck in a backyard. Wonderful.
