Good book of borders

I like all the different borders to choose from

The book is ideas or suggestions and contains 40 designs and, within those designs, various variations--so the 76 designs are multiple variations.The book HAD potential, and I do know it was written in 1991, but it is black and white drawings on graft-looking paper. Looking at the cover of the book, with the designs in color, that was more what I was expecting. Where you can get a feel for how the border will look. I am a visual person, and black-and-white drawings for artwork just do not meet my expectations.

Like the book, didn't appreciate that this used book cost more than if I had bought it new.

I was hoping for new ideas, unfortunately I didn't see any thing new. The good thing about the book was the border ideas were all in one book.

The borders were interesting, but I was not crazy about the directions. You are left to figure out a lot on your own, including what to cut and how to assemble. Definitely not for beginners.

No more boring borders for me! and I am so very happy that I haven't finished some of the quilt tops I've made over the years! almost everyone in my family has changed the size of bed they are using. Now I can just add some fantastic borders and will have the right size quilt for the beds!

This book contains a collection of patterns for many different borders which would be suitable for use in patchwork quilts. The borders are carefully drawn out and where appropriate the pattern reversal is shown. Additional useful information is provided in the form of the depth of some of the border patterns when drawn at different specific widths per section, which will be helpful when planning your quilt. In addition the template pieces shown for some more elaborate border patterns are drawn in sketch format.This is a useful volume which will provide a handy reference tool for those wanting to add that special border to their patchwork quilts.

Useful to have, but like a school book, with no colour pictures to give you ideas, just charts and such like. It explains it all very clearly though.

A very useful book for ideas on borders for your quilts. Recommend it if you're stuck on a quilt design that needs a border or borders.
