It's cute. Comes with a little piece of soap stone. Feels thinner than I thought it would, but it hasn't snapped on me yet. Doesn't lay flat on the table because the handles are held in by knots on the back side. The piece of soap stone is hard to write with, I got a soapstone pen from Home Depot- Much easier, much easier to read. That being said, it's a cute little cheese board and you can label it.

I got these to put cheeses on for wine club. They work great, look good, and did the job I bought them for.

Purchased for gifts. Boxes were a mess. Previously opened, ripped, broken boxes. Dusty dirty felt backing. Felt is very thin and does not prevent slate from scratching surface. All in all a great idea, but fails to impress.

This item is perfect for a oversized coaster on our nightstands...4.5in by 6.5 in... exactly what i needed.

I caught this when it was, for some reason, only $8 shipped. Mine arrived in tact without any damage. I haven't used it much, but I noticed that the slate doesn't wipe clean very well with dry materials and I need to actually wash it, which if you aren't careful can mess with the adhesive of the soft felt-like material on the back used to separate the board from whatever surface it is laying on.Price was great, but I don't think that's typial. Obviously there have been a lot of people who had broken ones arive, so this may be a risky purchase for some. I would have given this 4 if not 5 stars if what I received was actually identical to the photo and the measurements that were described in the product details. My board is DEFINITELY not 10 x 14 inches. Hell, even the package itself isn't. I received a rectangular version for some reason. Can't argue with $8, but I'm not very forgiving when it comes to not getting what you think you're paying for, cheap or not.Good product overall, though.

I really like this cheese tray and it the second time I have purchased it as a gift. The size is very nice and the rope handles give it a nice rustic look. I have been very fortunate and received both shipments quickly and with no damage to the board. I'm sure I will buy this again at some point - makes a great gift for a friend who loves to entertain - pair with a nice set of spreader knives.

Purchased as gift for neighbors who are wine fanatics. First delivery came shattered... We called up company and they sent us a new one within 60 seconds of talking to..... I give (5) stars to the customer service at Truefabrications. When fully usable it looks just like the picture - nice cheese platter. They should probably pack it better next time.

I was expecting a 5" x 10" plate. It's even mentioned in centimeters. They were very specific on the dimensions in the info. What we received was 4 3/4" x 9 3/4". Disappointed.
