Same as the old ones where it matters.
Bad news, the no longer make the old style and this is what we are stuck with. And they are more expensive.Good news these are just as good as the old ones. No better no worst. Smooth shave, doesnt catch. Comparitivly afordable.

Give the Pace 6 a try
I've been shaving for over twenty years and have used all kinds of razors. If you're thinking about buying this razor you should give it a try. It is priced right so you don't have much to lose. At first I thought 6 blades were overkill. I had already tried the Pace 3 and Pace 4 and liked them both. So I wanted to try the razor that appeared to be Dorco's best effort. The 6 blades do not irritate my skin. There seems to be something about the design that protects the skin from irritation, but I can't explain it. They are very good for mowing down thick stubble. I find I can rinse it off less frequently because those 6 blades just keep doing the job. They don't drag, just glide. I can even shave with slower strokes and they just glide through the stubble. They never get clogged even when I am using a thick pre-shave oil. They always rinse clean with ease. I've had other razors clog up, but not these. The blades also give this great audio feedback when the stubble is being cut. So when I'm in the shower stall and using a clear cream like Cremo, I can hear what is going on even if it is hard to see. I love this feature. The trimmer works great. It takes a little getting used to (as all new razors do) but I find it works better then the Fusion. I found the original Fusion trimmer clogged up bad. This trimmer doesn't clog. Once I got used to the angle and pressure needed, it worked very well.I have a thick coarse beard and have used this razor 10 times and it is still shaving like new. I predict I will get many more shaves out of this first cartridge. Also I believe that a shave with any razor will be bad if you don't prep your skin well. The right products and technique will make the most difference in a shave. But even in the instances when I didn't have time for a hot shower, pre-shave oil, premium cream or any of the nice things a home shave gets me, this razor performed well enough. A quick spash of hot water in the sink, and some canned shave gel still got the job done without incident. So the razor passed the test even in my worst case scenario of shaving. If there are any negatives about this razor I would say it is the size of the cartridge. The trimmer solves most of the size issues. However sometimes shaving around the curve of my chin the rubber guard and lubrication strip wouldn't make contact with my skin and the razors would be the only part making contact and nick. Yet I got used to it very quickly and am not having an issue with it. As with any new razor, I find as I got more used to the razor the shaves got better and better. My recent shaves have all been nick free and very close.

A Good Alternative to the Proglide.
I got tired of paying for Fusion Proglide blades. I was a Mach 3 and a Fusion user before the Proglide and I could not believe (and still can't) how the prices just keep going up. I really like the Proglide but decided I wanted to try a few other options. I tried the Dorco Pace 6+ first. I was nervous at first because it appeared the blades were getting clogged immediately. It seemed to me they might have been a little closer together than the Proglide. However, this didn't really seem to affect the shave quality much over a week. I usually use a blade for 7 days and then switch. I shave every morning.I next tried Harry's since they frequently advertise online. They sell one blade cartridge, yet numerous handles. I got the orange handle. The packaging, handle, etc. looks really "fancy" and all. However, the problems are numerous. In no particular order: 1) The shave quality is awful. It's not nearly as close as the Proglide or Dorco. 2) After about 2 shaves, the already bad shave gets even worse. The blade wares out really quickly. 3) There is no trimmer. For the 2 weeks I tried this blade, I still used the Dorco trimmer. 4) The handle is slick. I guess it's something you don't notice but the better handles have a better grip. Is it not obvious that your hand will be wet and possibly have some soap or shaving cream residue remaining while shaving? 5) The blade doesn't have a button to pop it off. So you need to yank it out with your wet hands and the lousy gripped handle. 6) The mini "case" they provide to store the blade (it doesn't cover or hold the handle) is inadequate. 7) The replacement blades come in a paper box. They apparently fail to see the convenience of the plastic cartridge holder that attaches to the bottom of the handle/cartridge holder.Anyway, I had a few blades left but I gave up. I went back to the Dorco as I had 2 cartridges remaining. After another week of the Dorco, I decided to order my replacement blades. It is about as good as the Proglide and the cartridges cost less than $2 per as opposed to nearly $4 for the Proglide. Gilette has got to be kidding. I know they do all this research and the products are good but $eriou$ly?.I was thinking about the Dollar Shave Club but I found out they seem to use Dorco blades at about the same price. I always had my doubts and when I saw the ratings for the Pace 6+, I was wondering if they were flooding the reviews themselves. I can honestly say their product is pretty good.

Good mens razor for the price.
Good, affordable razors, hold their edges longer than Bic, Gillette etc. Shave my entire head and face with one cartridge multiple times without nicks, cuts or ingrown hairs while the other brands dull out after one or two shaves. My only complaint with these is the back edge/single razor. The cartridge itself is rather bulky which makes it difficult to get precision cuts/sideburns and trim with it. For that I dock a point.

The very best at half the price!
I've been using the doorco six blade shaver or probably close to 10 years. The price is fantastic and the product is of excellent quality. I can usually go two to three weeks shaving everyday before I need to swap out the blade. Well done !

Better quality and better shave
These are the best blades I have used. I read somewhere Dorco made the blades for Dollar Shave Club. DSC blades became horrible when the company was sold. Dorco blades cut cleanly, stay sharp and last longer than DSC blades.

Best razor blades
I have used Dorco replaceable razor blade cartridges for a number of years and think they are the best for me. I've tried a number of similar products but always come back to Dorco because of their usefulness, their consistent quality, their long lasting sharpness and their comfort. I was saddened when the Dorco page disappeared several years ago but was heartened when I found them again well stocked on Amazon. The price is very good for such quality. Try them and you'll like them for a comfortable close shave.
