This sponge is amazing! I love the exfoliating properties and it leaves my face feeling soft as a baby! I believe the French Red Clay sponge is just as desirable as the grey Bamboo Charcoal sponge, so it's a toss up for me which I like better. I've been using the charcoal sponges for months now, and see a huge difference in my anti-aging efforts! I love that the grey Charcoal has a slightly rougher surface and really exfoliates well. This red clay one is almost the same, so I like it too. Small wrinkle lines have all but disappeared, and pores are closing up for a nice smooth appearance. My skin care products go on smoother too! No more clarisonic for me! I love love the charcoal sponge, but I wanted to try this red clay sponge for fun. It's gentle, but has just the right amount of soft exfoliation to pull away particles on the surface of my face. I love that it has a string (they all do) to hang for drying. I've never had a Konjac sponge fall apart or wear out. I only pitch them every two or three months because I like getting a new fresh one every now and then. I like to remove eye makeup first with a moist makeup remover wipe just to keep my sponges cleaner. I use the sponge then to do a rotating massage on my face using my facial cleanser. This has the best anti-aging benefits and works really well getting that exfoliating experience with every wash. I know it says not to wring them out, but I do it all the time and it hasn't impacted the life of the sponge in any way. I am 62 and have dry skin (no acne), but use a lot of moisturizing skin care products. These sponges are not too harsh, and gets deep to pull out impurities without feeling abrasive in any way. It's amazing how soft my skin feels after every wash!!

I absolutely love Konjac sponges. I've been using one everyday for 6 months and swear by them - I've recommended them to all my friends.PROS:- gentle exfoliation. Much gentler than a Clarisonic brush which spins and can rough up your skin. The Konjac sponge does not make my face red unless I really press into my skin while exfoliating, but that is entirely in my power to control. Whenever my skin is dry and flaky, after taking a Konjac sponge to it, the flakes are gone.- leaves skin feeling smoother and softer.- easy to clean. Just put it in some boiling water for a few minutes (I flip it once halfway through) and squeeze the excess water out once it cools down. I clean mine once every 1-2 weeks.- easy storage. Hang it up anywhere!- small, portable, practically weightless.- works for lots of skin types. I have very sensitive, acne-prone pale skin. I've been diagnosed with rosacea by a dermatologist because my skin can get red and inflamed very easily. The Konjac sponge never bothers or upsets my skin, it only helps.CONS:- does not remove makeup entirely. I wouldn't expect it to, though; that's the job of a cleanser.RECOMMENDATIONS:- I like to make sure that there is no cleanser on my face whatsoever when I use the Konjac sponge since if there is, until I boil my sponge, it will leave some bubbly/foamy residue from picking up the cleanser.- buy whichever sponge you want/is cheapest. I've tried the original sponge (same brand because I love this sponge) and this red clay one and didn't see a difference in how they left my skin. That's just my experience.

Personally, I became aware of these sponges via the purchase of a different product that came with a Konjac sponge. I was impressed with it's performance and wanted to share my finding with my husband and my best gal pal. In searching I came up this sponge for "mature" skin which contains red clay. I purchased two of them, 1 for each. Let me preface my review with the fact that my friend is rarely satisfied with any product. She buys, tries once and then either throws the item away or gives it away. She uses NO beauty products beyond basic makeup. No skin care products, ie moisturizers etc. Long story short...she loves it....Alert the media!My husband has used the sponge for about 2 weeks now. The difference is visible. The 3 of us are all "of a certain age" and we cannot say enough about the changes these little sponges have brought about, Instead of the dry, dull, flaky skin we were all experiencing post winter, we all now have smoother and "dewy" looking skin that feels smooth as a babies butt. In my opinion, this product makes a bigger impact than moisturizer.I have bought the body sponge for hubs and look forward to seeing if makes as big a difference. Great product, Great seller. I bought and paid for, full price, all 3 of the items that I've received thus far.
