Use this often, it can be a little difficult to get the correct and consistency out of it but with practice it works great.

I originally thought this product was defective, because the actual gouging piece is so loose that you have to get it started and run it before it cuts to the depth you set. After contacting the company and getting an explanation (which is now in the description), I realized that the tool would be very difficult to get started if the v-blade were fixed. I'm new to leather-working and wanted to cut grooves so I can glue rhinestones in (to make fancy gear for service dogs); once I got the hang of the tool it was perfect for what I needed, although you have to go over the groove in the other direction to get the first inch or so to the correct depth. A more experienced leather-worker would probably have no difficulty. So far this is a sturdy and effective tool, and the blade is still sharp.

Not sharp

I didn’t like the way the adjustment screw fits, it too loose which allows to depth to move while in use. It need to be a little snug so it can’t move once it’s set.The blade is sharp and cuts very nice.The fit and finish is ok.

take a minute to figure it out as a neebee but it works great here is my first attempt in tooling

Dis not cut the leather I wanted to cut. Though I am not a leather craftsman. It did cut other types of leather I wvem used it on vinyl cove base.
