Power Adapter Compatible with Arlo (Replace CR123A), with 25Feet/7.5m Weatherproof Outdoor Cable Continuously Power Your Security Camera, Not Compatible with Alro Pro and Pro 2

I’ve been waiting about 3 weeks to post my review because I wanted to have some time to test these power cables both on my indoor and outdoor Arlo. I bought 2 of these, one for my living room and one for my outdoor Arlo that is exposed directly to all kinds of winter weather. They were easy to install and the 20 feet of power cable was more than enough to reach an outlet.They both show 100% power and have been working flawlessly. My outdoor camera also shows a boost in signal from 1 bar to 3 bars. Not sure if that was intended but it’s now the case which is awesome.It also connects quicker to the app now that they are powered 100%. I will continue to update my review it anything negative happens or the product fails over the next 3/6/9/12 month time frame.Great product and great price.

The product works perfectly as described. Gave new life to my old battery powered Arlo cameras. Have had no issues with the cameras since installing this product. Easy to install, easy to setup as long as you have a power source to plug into with the 25ft. Cable is flat and will fit through most of my windows enabling power to the camera. Money well spent to get these expensive cameras to work. Doesn't over come any of the other potential short comings of these older cameras, ie. sensor range, adversity.to cold temperatures, but helps some if placed in the proper location.

Purchased one to update and save on having to climb a ladder to change the batteries. I will be getting more to update all my cameras. Great product! Love it! What I don’t like is the strip is rather thin. I am afraid it will not last that long because of that. But it is easy to install and worth the money.

It works, no more buying $25 cr batteries. The only cons are the flimsy wire that could break at any moment without taping it up

Great connectivity. Great replacement for batteries. I recently changed from wireless batteries to wired and I do not regret it. The battery replacement is perfect compatibility. Cord length is more than enough. Easy to install.

I wanted to try this item to compare with another type of powering my cameras that uses the 5v usb mini port on the cameras. It required some alterations but works great.This style I like a lot & have had it in place for 2 months now with no issues except the reception communicating with the camera is slower than my other 3. It is the furthest away from the router so could be the issue? I haven’t had any of the issues others are saying that they’ve had so far. Well worth the price & no more changing out poor quality rechargeable batteries!

This Power Adapter for Arlo security cameras is a great idea - it finally eliminates a need to use CR123A batteries which are expensive, unreliable (many batteries in a newly acquired set are half empty and run out juice in a few days) and sometimes difficult to replace if the camera is installed high above the ground. Don't forget that every time one replaces the batteries, one has to readjust the camera's position again. However the devil is in the (implementation) details. Suddenly, the whole idea of the wireless camera does not longer apply to Arlo cameras - one needs to run a power cable from outside the house in order to plug-in the adapter - it does not look that the transformer is water resistant so plugging it into to the outside 120V outlet may not be an option. Design of the actual connection of the power cable to the battery-replacement block inside the camera is also looks suspicious - a short flat cable which connects to the block which replaces the batteries inside the camera is very flimsy and I am not sure how long it will survive outside under harsh weather conditions.On a positive note, now I can select my camera settings which produce the best video quality as well as increased duration of the individual recordings and not worry about the batteries.My suggestion would be to change the adapter's design and move a transformer into a base (such as electrical outlet box) to which the camera attaches to - it would eliminate or reduce movements of the flimsy connection and allow to connect the camera to the existing outside electrical outlet box in parallel to the flood lights or other exterior electrical fixtures.

I have some of the original Arlo battery powered cameras. These cameras work well enough but really go through the expensive CR123 batteries. This charger adaptor was purchased for my back yard camera which is mounted high on the house. It worked immediately and I have had no problems with it nor have I had to buy any more batteries. In no time at all it will pay for itself.
