Big Hit!
My almost nine-year-old STEM obsessed kiddo adores this, which is no surprise because it's quite fun. It feels like a high tech modern day Tamogotchi- you use the sensors to create and care for various animals which are used to repopulate and terraform dead 'island' planets from your spaceship command module. The associated free app didn't work on his old hand-me-down ipad, but operates perfectly with our 8th gen Kindle Fire. When he chooses Sensors Alive as his screentime for the day, he spends the vast majority of that time running around the house collecting and testing various sensor readings instead of zoning out in front of a screen. Highly recommend!

Changed to 4 Starts.
I changed my review from 1 star to 4 after I was contacted by Thames & Kosmos customer support. We love this game. So much fun. I have a 6 year old daughter and 8 year old son. They both love it. They love making different types of environments and creatures. We had an issue with one of the pods. We over heated with a blow dryer and it melted a bit. Totally our fault and once one pod breaks it is all over. This is frustrating because you cannot continue with the game without all three pods and you cannot purchase a replacement pod. I sent Thames & Kosmos and email asking if I could purchase the thermal pod and they responded and we have one on the way. I would give it a 5 star except that it should be easier to get replacement pods, hopefully they are working on that.

Great if you get one all the sensors work!
I ordered two of these for neices and nephews and thankfully tested both before I gave it to them. One had all working parts and one did not. The seller was great and took the return of the broken one. I'm waiting for a third to see if there are any issues. I gave one to my 10 year old neice and she + her sister who is 8 are really enjoying it! Especially because they were put in a 2 week quarantine just after I gave it to her.Thankfully I have some time before the next birthday.

Mission impossible solved
It was an ok for a sensor machine. There was lots of riff-raff at first. The sound sometimes didn’t capture correctly but we realized it was the heat on the candle.it started to melt but only a little. It works now my daughter had some issues 30 minutes later. It was good but sometimes it was a mission impossible. But we solved it we used some time it only took a day. We practiced a lot and we got a little bit better. My daughter started getting a lot of things right. It was nice not much but we had lots of fun. She says “Me and my friends can do it it’s fun for adventure and the environment to learn about “. I would recommend buying. Just know that it’s a bit hard at first.

Doesn't work!
We got this for the holidays and it was a bummer out of the box. The sensors are finicky and just won't work. The seller I bought from doesn't offer exchanges so I'll never know if we got a bad one or if the tech for this is just hit or miss. The temperature sensor had a constant white light on and then bright pink and sometimes solid blue. (The instructions say there should be a yellow blinking light and then a green light while the sensor takes a reading). The light sensor blinked half green and half yellow and never stopped blinking to take a reading. The temperature sensor took a reading once and never wanted to again. We never even got as far as creating an egg (they seem to require two readings). Geez, talk about disappointing. We are sending ours back and hoping for a full refund with two disappointed kids :(

Fun game for everyone!
I was initially worried by some of the reviews, but after my daughter opened it all up and we started playing with it, it works just as it's supposed to. We all had fun running around getting the senors to the optimal levels, My only problem is I can find many resources online for it and I really want to figure out how to 3D print the figures for her.

Doesn't work
Doesn't work. Like other reviews online the Bluetooth refuses to connect and refunds had to be made. Should have listened to the reviews. Tried tablet, computer etc. Can't get refund as it was purchased early for a Christmas gift, refunds not accepted past 30 days. Not the sellers fault more the manufacturer. Don't waste your money.
