Good fit and finish!
Fixed the loud whistle in the BMW 328i. Hardest part is taking the valve cover off the car. Take your time and be patient!

Stopped the screaming engine!
Man this is a crazy piece on the BMW valve cover that goes bad and causes the nastiest scream you’ll ever hear. Turns out the screaming is coming from the oil filter cap o-ring. Since the PCV valve has failed it’s sucking air past the o-ring on the oil filter cap. Anyway, it is HARD to pry this thing off the valve cover as it’s pretty much superglued on. I used a really long pipe and pried it off. I got lucky and it broke off and I cleaned the remaining pieces off with a screwdriver. There’s videos on how to properly cut it off using some tools on YouTube videos. Anyway, first try I thought it was fixed because I followed some guy’s explanation of only placing superglue in three spots. Don’t make that mistake. I had to remove everything again after that didn’t stop the screaming and superglued the cap the entire way around using gel superglue. Anyway, fixed a $1,000 BMW repair with just this part. So I’m happy.

If replacing this doesn't work then do the whole valve cover
It would of work when I replaced it but the tea kettle sound came back. So that mean I have to replace the whole valve cover and gaskets. Hope this helps someone.

Good quality part with excellent fit.
Product is of good quality. I prevented me from having to buy a $300. Valve cover. Note: old part is glued on in 3 spots. I broke the old one and used a dremel to clean up the glue spots.

Did not fit my 2014 BMW X3 with N55 engine.
This was a waste of money to me. I bought it and was prepared to make the mod but it's not the same internally. I tried to modify it to work but then notices the center valve did not match what was on mine. Of course I modified it, so I can't send it back. I had no choice, I had the engine all broke down and was desperate to get it back together. At any rate, just buy the valve cover that comes with this part installed and be done with it. Save yourself the frustration.

Excellent!
I was quoted from the BMW dealer $1,500.00 to replace the entire valve cover, After getting over the shock of the outrageous quote, I ordered this part from Amazon, it took about an hour to to heat the factory ccv with a hair dryer making it easy to remove the defective part. Thank you.

Replace the valve cover and save your money
I thought this would be a good quick fix but it isn’t.... my e83 x3 is still running like trash and it makes that irritating whistling noise.... just embarrassing when your driving a Beemer. The best way to fix it is to replace the whole valve cover .... don’t wast your money just do it right the first time.

worked well
I'm glade some one thought of making this what a great money and time saver for us who want to continue driving a bmw and not go bankrupt to maintain it. Don't be discouraged by the reticuloses videos on how to replace it, it pretty easy.

Worked and cured the dreaded whistle.
Worked great after carefully cutting and perfectly removing old valve with zero damage to valve cover. Remember to use some high heat gasket former to make a complete seal. Beats spending hundreds of dollars on a new valve cover.
