Great little coffee pot
This is just a simple, good coffee pot. I’ve had mine for almost 3 years and it’s still working great! The coffee is hot, makes the 10 cups it says it does and so easy to use. No it doesn’t have auto shut off or the fancy gadgets but it is simple and works fantastic for the price. I prefer the simplicity of things so this was perfect for us!

A Basic Coffee Maker
It's working as it should. I bought it because I had to replace the coffee maker I had, which was Alexa compatible. (This one is not.) I had to do it quickly because my other one was leaking. This one has a reasonable price. Unfortunately, I hadn't noticed that it doesn't have an automatic shut-off. I'm now having to put a timer on my phone so that I don't forget to shut it off. Well, that didn't work for me yesterday. I left the coffee maker on the entire day. I will purchase another one that has an automatic shut-off. If that function is not essential to you, you'll love this coffee maker.

Basic coffee maker, perfect for a smart home project
My setup: - Google assistant - This coffee maker - A smart outlet adapter - Google routines I set up two routines: - "Make the coffee," "turn on the coffee pot" - basically variations on what people in my house would say. It turns the power to the coffee maker on for 3 hours, announces "Good morning! The coffee is being made and will turn itself off in 3 hours. Enjoy your day!" and then starts playing the news. - "Turn off the coffee" (and variations) - turns off the power to the coffee maker off and announces "setting the coffee maker to boil." (yes, it's funny to us!) I also named the smart outlet "proctor silex" when setting it up, so I can address it directly by name and not have google misinterpret it for a "turn on" request. That way I can turn on/off with the routines or ask it "is proctor silex on?" My latest update to the routines leans on a new assistant feature that lets it do something when a device does something, such as turning on a fan when the light is turned on. Here, I added a routine so that when the smart outlet for the coffee turns on, Google will announce on all speakers that the coffee maker was turned on. Little bit of a safety backup in case a kid gets a little.... curious.

Bottom line...Fantastic value!
Bottom line...Fantastic value! Pro's: Up to 10 cups of coffee Versatile: Hot coffee/ice coffee/tea/hot coco/etc Standard size basket Paper filter (economical) " " purchase locally " " rinse & put in recycling " " no need to take apart Or use fine reusable mesh filter Lower cost than k cups, t disks, d donuts, s bucks etc No line to wait in Customize your coffee, flavor, style to brew (chocolate powder + coffee grounds = Mocha) Nice esthetic design Easy to operate Simple mechanism Use diluted vinegar & water to clean internally No need for harsh chemicals or "de-scail-er" Small footprint on your countertop real estate Affordable price $20 vs $200 for a Tassimo Yes, you can make different styles of coffees: regular, bold, espresso, latte, cappuccino, macchiato with it with a little help for the milk Sturdy but not heavy; well made Basket only fits one way so you can't use it if it isn't in correctly-potentially avoiding a spillover Love it so much I bought 2: "His" in black and "Hers" in white to make regular and flavored coffee at the same time. Cons: Limited colors available No automatic shut off Delicate spring=handle carafe with care when removing and returning to hotplate No froth for latte. Must do separately.

Serves the purpose, but very cheap maker...
you got what you pay for. It makes a coffee. Very generic maker with one button On/Off. People referring to the leakage is because of the design. it is not a leakage, what happening is that the maker design to have a coffee basket as pretty much insert into the entire part of the maker and serve as the seal to the carafe. Unfortunately, during the brew process the water getting all over inside and when you open the lid to clean, pulling the basket getting some of that drops out. there is nothing you can do and if you'd like to get this one, you would have to deal with it. Some good things that I noticed: -- > When you pull the carafe before the brewing is finished, it is actually very clean comparing to other makes. so the seal between the basket and carafe is actually good. -- It does not take a lot of space. -- The carafe is kind of inside the walls of the maker that makes the carafe very stable. -- Can be plugged into the smart plug that compatible to google or amazon and you can do the automation to switch it on/off. -- Your coffee would be kept hot until you turn the switch off and this is sometimes a great thing instead of the maker goes off after 2 hours and any coffee that you left for later would become cold. Not that good: -- You have to remember to turn the makes off when not in use to avoid any fire issues. -- When finish and cleanup, some water drops can be all over. not a lot but still a little inconvenience. -- There is no visual water indicator, so you have to watch inside to how much you pour the water in. Best to fill the carafe with desired amount of the water and then pour it into the maker. -- The power cord is not that long, so you have to keep the maker close to the outlet. -- The maker is made from very cheap plastic, so, do not expect very pretty and shiny coffee maker. Over all I would give it 3 stars. It does brew coffee fine, and relatively fast. I use it with the smart switch and actually very beneficial to have it loaded night before and have a smart routine to start brewing the coffee at scheduled time in the morning. buy it or not: your decision :)

Perfect for the price, Alexia, turn on coffee pot.
I bought it because I needed something simple in my home office so I don't have to always go downstairs for a cup of coffee. I also liked that I could use an Amazon plug for it. So I load it up in the morning and in the afternoons when I need a caffeine rush, I just say Alexia turn off coffee pot and 5 min later I have coffee. I love it.

No auto-off, power light hard to see on side, unclear warranty. EDIT: stopped working in 4.5 months
Obviously, it's a great price for a coffee maker. It's replacing a slightly more expensive coffee maker, and there's a function I hadn't even thought about, that is missing. And that's auto-off. I hadn't even thought that as a feature to pay attention to, but after living with the functionality all my life, I hope our family can remember to turn this thing off. And second, the illuminated power switch is on the side. Thus, it's not really clear from the front if the coffee maker is on or off. I'd suggest that any coffee maker that doesn't turn have auto-off functionality should have a power light front and center, so it's easy to see if a coffee maker is still on. UPDATE: The size of a cup of coffee on this maker is 20% smaller than a cup of coffee from our previous 12-cup Mr Coffee coffee maker. So while we thought we were only going down 2 cups per batch (12 cup to 10 cup unit), we really went down by 4 cups from our previous maker. I can't help but feel the smaller cup size in this unit is an attempt to make an 8-cup coffee maker look bigger than it is, and call it a 10-cup coffee maker. I'm dining this unit another star for making us feel crazy about drinking coffee so much faster -- we assumed all coffee makers would use the same measurment for a cup. UPDATE 2: Just over 5 months of owning this coffee maker, and it stopped working. The light turns on, but it no longer heats up. It stopped working after making some coffee. It was luke-warm like an hour later. It now fails to make coffee at all. Both Amazon and Proctor-Silex don't even have a clearly posted warranty on this anywhere online. Regardless, the coffee maker has to be sent in if it is covered, and my guess is the cost to ship the broken coffee maker will be more than half the cost of buying this originally. More annoying is that the Proctor-Silex website doesn't even state the warranty period. They refer to a broken link, and say to just send the unit in, and if it's out of warranty, they'll tell you the cost to fix it. I think a big manufacturer should do better than that. It doesn't even state the warranty on the product page on Amazon, you have to email to get that information. UPDATE 2.1: Amazon added the warranty info to the page, apparently due to my request. So the good news is the warranty is a full year. The bad news is the cost for me to mail the coffee maker in for repair is $16.57 (w/o tracking), not much less than the cost to buy this new.

Excellent Coffee Maker
If you're looking for a great coffee maker that is small enough to fit into a tight space and still have more than 1-2 cups of coffee then this is it. It is a very good coffee maker that lasted for a long time. We had 2 because at the time we were making 2 different strengths of coffee. We have a small kitchen and having 2 of them did not take up so much space because of the height and width. I highly recommend this coffee maker.

Simple and well designed
If you’re looking for a simple, well designed, compact and inexpensive coffee maker this it it. No timers, grinders, settings or anything else (except for being smart plug compatible, which I don’t use.) Just fill the reservoir, add coffee and turn on. It makes good coffee and fairly quickly. The warming plate stays hot until you turn it off. The cord is about 22” long. It can also be tucked into the back of the machine. The reservoir has no volume markings but if you fill it from the carafe this doesn’t matter. Just about perfect.

Encantada
Encantada con mi cafetera ya la tuve y me duró años, por eso la volví a comprar, y sobre todo porque el filtro de papel es aún mejor que el lavable

Alexa Makes Me Tea!
I ordered this coffee maker to make steeped tea. I was looking for something simple I could command on with an Alexa smart plug, had a carafe so I could put my tea bags in it and that would keep it hot while it steeped. This does it all. I pour water in at night, put tea bags in the carafe, and with the smart plug command it on in the morning when I wake up so I go downstairs to hot steeped tea. I programmed Alexa to turn it off after X minutes so I don't have to worry about forgetting to turn it off. It took me a few tries to get the water to tea bag ratio figured out but now it's perfect. Highly recommend for tea drinkers! Can't speak to the coffee it makes.

How could I have known
This was to replace a perfectly functional machine, it's simply that the pot broke. This machine works well however I believe that it makes the coffee taste different. We did clean it with vinegar and I made a lot of water go though but still.. when I added more coffee ground it tasted better but its a waste. Not sure if it's the machine
