This is a well constructed easy to use compass for underwater use I like that it hase different mounting options for use on a d ring or a hose mount I like the retractor that is well ajusted and holds retracted with enough tention not to sag but still easy enough to pull out and use. the window is large and easy to read the numbers. the magnet is strong and moves quickly to keep pointed north. ( keep in mind that any ferrious metal (iron) in the vicinity within a foot or so will disrupt the compass reading. it also glows in the dark. I would buy again if i needed another. I used a couple of times so far once on land walking around at the park to get the hang of using a compass for navigating on a specific bearing, and also on one dive where I found it easy to use underwater.

This compass works very well. The see through window made it very easy to navigate underwater while keeping the compass level and maintaining a strait course. The retractable lanyard appears to be very durable and am very pleased with it on my first few dives with it. The bezel and lubber line were very easy to operate with the 5 mil gloves I was wearing. Very happy with this purchase especially since I do not like wrist mounted compasses. You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

This compass is fairly easy to read and has an integral retractable line to help stay streamlined while diving. The numbers are easy to read, important for someone my age, and the window at the base allows one to track direction with the compass extended. I have not had the opportunity to use it yet, but it is very similar to my old compass which disappeared after or during a recent dive trip.

This compass and configuration has proven to be a nice addition to my underwater navigation needs. I’ve located it on my left side bcd harness D ring, which makes it accessible when needed but then out of the way when not.

The compass fit perfectly in my old rubber boot. I like that it has all 4 points of the compass shown. Also has nice clear lumber line.

The side window is large and easy to read first optically challenged people like we are. It is very easy to read in low visibility and does not have to be level to follow changes in direction. The retractor works very well.

Great compass. Bought it mainly because I wanted one that retracted. The retractor broke after a couple years but it was pretty heavily used so no surprise there. Looks like some people were having the same issue and looking for a replacement. You can use  Akona Mini Dive Retractor  to replace it if it breaks.

I did my navigation dive for Advanced Open Water. I was able to swim in a square AND triangle.
