AFTER RIPPING 4 CD'S, HAVING TROUBLE WITH NORMAL WIN 7 MUSIC FILE FUNCTIONS. HAVE NOT YET RIPPED MUSIC FROM VINYL, & MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DO SO UNLESS i FIND THE REASON FOR FAILURE TO STORE RIPPED CD FILES ON MY PC.

I recently had the privilege to write, record and mix a special radio program and decided to use Sound Forge 10, which is the software the station uses. While recording at our local radio station, I noticed that the program would drop audio in random places: I could see the audio signal on the screen, but the playback was dead silence. Upon installing a fresh copy on my home studio PC, it did the same thing! I spent valuable time going back to the source audio, copying and pasting, to replace the dead time with the exact same audio that would actually play. Thankfully I got the program finished, days before airtime... but with such a hit-or-miss problem, I do know that I would recommend it for professional use.

This product is a bit complicated vs audacity! I was having issues in recording my voice and audio together and needed an additional voice recorder on my computer to make it work! I didn't see the purpose of having a recording select button when it didn't record. Not sure if I want to Invest in the actual program just yet.

As an amateur "mixologist" I was looking for a substitute for Adobe Audition. This was not it. While it has some neat effects built in, it just didn't meet my needs. Since it's a free trial, however, why not download it and give it a try?

I tried this to see if it worked better than the free audacity. It appears to have more features but on my P.C. it would not recognize my sound card. So I stuck with the audacity.

Nice audio editor software from reputable company. Bad thing is that it can not exact audio from video file.
