I bought in both sizes to compare. I am a size 8-1/2 women's shoe. The smaller size fits but does not quite go up as high on the leg and the sock design kind of distorts along the calf as i work out and have a bigger than usual calf muscle. But they are still wearable and the feet and toes do not compress together too much. Now the larger size is much more comfortable and the design keeps it shape with the sock reaching my knees. Feet have a bit more room as well. I prefer the larger size. They do stay put and do not slide around in the feet or down the leg and they do not make your legs sweat so the breathe. A very comfortable compression sock.

I ordered the 3-pack of polka-dotted stockings and I am extremely pleased with the appearance and quality of these hose. But the real surprise is that I felt INSTANT RELIEF for my tired legs and feet!I had varicose veins stripped on my right leg when I was 19-years-old (I know!), and as I’ve aged, the swelling in my legs has returned. I have particularly notice how tired my lower legs and feet feel, even early in the day, and am embarrassed when my ankles swell -- silly, but I am. I watch my salt intake and keep my legs up as much as possible, and this persistently plagues me.Seriously, I put these on, and whoa mama! I don’t want to take them off! I will when I sleep, though, because I guess I’m supposed to. I’ll be ordering more.To decrease the dork factor, I’ve looked online and discovered that, with a little imagination, they can be styled to look sporty or boho, depending. Ima give it a try, along with a healthy dose of attitude and elan.One small warning -- we have all wood floors and stairways, and I must wear shoes or slippers with these or I slide all over kingdom come.Buy ‘em!

First, for reference, I'd like to say I'm 5'9" tall with women's shoes size ranging between 8.5 to 9.5, and calf circumference ranging anywhere between 15" and 16", depending on the amount of swelling in my legs. Swelling in my calves mostly occurs as a result of super long workdays (18-20hrs) or long flights.I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of these socks. My previous pairs (different brand) merely felt like slightly thicker nylon knee high stockings, but these are super strong knit fabric. My feet tend to sweat A LOT, and these surprisingly didn't retain much moisture. The first day I had them, I tried wearing them overnight, and I was super impressed with the level of swelling reduction. It had been a while since I've seen them look so "normal". The next day, I tried wearing them throughout my work day... and there was very little, if any, swelling. For the price, I was extremely impressed with the quality. I am super stoked to try out the socks for my weekend hiking trip and possibly snow sports. Activity in cold weather tend to cause swelling in my extremities... had I known how effective these were, I would have used them a long time ago. They probably would have saved me a from a LOT of pain caused by blisters from swollen feet/legs. I highly recommend these!

Size 6 shoe and got the small/medium. They fit great and they’re cute!! I’m 5 months pregnant and I’m a nurse in an ER. legs and feet felt great after a 12 hour shift!! PS they’re just cute too!! We’ll see how the next 4 months go but I feel pretty good about them.

I was a little hesitant that compression socks would be for me but after being convinced I found these to trial since I had the option of buying just 3. I wore them to work and had no foot or leg pain after 8 hours on feet all day. We make trips often enough that are about 5-6 hours and I wore a pair while driving and was shocked that as I stepped out of the car my legs were not stiff or sore or achy. I was able to walk without any initial steps of pain. Something that always happened while traveling. I really like these because of the options of colors and patterns and how many in a package.

The socks are super cute and the quality seems good. However the tightness seems to vary between pairs. Some are easy to get on others are more of a struggle. There is also no compression in the foot, which is one place I tend to swell, so be aware or that. In fact the foot and especially the toe box are almost TOO roomy. I feel like there is extra fabric over the toe box area that I can’t pull tight. Maybe some people like that, but it’s a detractor for me.All in all they are a nice colorful alternative to a traditional compression sock, but fit is a bit inconsistent and I would have liked a more fitted or compressed foot area.

I love the colors of these compression stockings. I wear a size 5 1/2 to 6 shoe and usually go with the 6 because of bunions. These socks fell comfortable and seem to go up a little higher than my other stockings in middle of knee maybe. Still comfortable. Fits true to size. I will purchase again but I have noticed not as much support by ankle I have swelling there normally but then I have been sitting by computer for long periods so that could be just sitting too long too. As I said the socks are comfortable. :)

After reading a couple of the negative reviews, I almost did not order these socks. However, I was in need of compression socks due to a vein procedure on both of my legs. My doctor said the compression was just fine. I ordered the small/medium (I wear a size 7 or 7-1/2 shoe), and the fit is perfect. I have washed them in cold water and hung over the towel bar to dry and they are still like new. I love the colors and the patterns so much that I ordered 6 more pair. I will wear these socks even when I no longer have to for medical purposes.

Great compression socks. They fit well and are comfortable for 12hrs on my feet. Cute designs.
