Q: When I turn on the hob and put it into 3 power does the heat stay on (orange light) on the board or does it go off and on (gets hot, then cools down)?

The hob temperature reaches the heat and then it turns off but comes back on

Q: It talks about Timer but is not visible in the images not in the documentation. Can someone share some info

There is no timer just the on/off switches but it is a brilliant job as I have cooked on it for three years without a problem. I just set the timer on my oven if I need one.

Q: does it have a residual heat indicator?

If you mean there is a light that tells you it is still hot, there is. Really happy with this appliance,
