Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i Portable Color Duplex Document Scanner for Mac and PC (Renewed)

Fujitsu make a great scanner. However their new program app only work with windows 10 and above. A little bit slow but do the job well. I have to buy this because I have an old home computer on Windows 8.0 and this once work just fine with the older program.I had tried to buy a newer ScanSnap too Bad they only work with WIndows 10

The roller refused to move paper, although it made plenty of noise. Unable to scan anything as a result.

We have purchased the higher end model of the ScanSnap and found them to be excellent machines. When we needed a smaller, less robust scanner, we purchased this. It performs so well, it's hard to tell it isn't the higher end model. The ease of use of the teachers, the speed, the double-sided scanning are all features that make this the scanner to buy!

It arrived today with a significant crack in the cover. sigh. Perhaps it is fine, but not too happy about that.

I've had this scanner for almost 10 years and it is by far the most convenient scanner I've ever used! Because it is small and compact, it can sit right on the desk, available for use instantly. I have the "big" scanner and it works well. But honestly, I hardly use it because this little guy is literally right at hand and does a quick job of any scanning task that I need!Plus it scans duplex!!! My HP sure as heck doesn't do that! In fact, that's why I took it out of my office closet and set it up again. I had a lot of duplex scanning and my bigger scanner can't manage it. But my ScanSnap does.In fact, I found this product on Amazon because I have a friend who wants to start to scan her photos and her legal papers. I thought that I would try to find a product that I'm already familiar with so that I can support her in setting it up and operating it. And look at this - Amazon has it!! I am planning on buying this one for her!How's that for a recommendation??

UPDATE:Can't use the software or driver without an Internet connection!!!Its a scanner. JUST a scanner! This app has no business HAVING to connect to the internet to use software.I'm a full time RV'er and I scan EVERYTHING. Paper costs me fuel!Scanner:OMG I've bought 3 of these in my life (Yes, Mine, and 2 gifts. all 3 still work wonderfully)It is a serious work horse. I can sit and have a scan party (scanning anything collected receipts...etc) for maybe an hour session and maybe have to refeed 2 sheets of paper. It's that good at handling odd sizes and paper densities.Software:Interface is not bad. You have to use it to get the "Hang of it". but once you do its ok.If you save documents only to a local hard drive it's "ok"BUT..If you store items on say a Synology NAS. the software absolutely SUCKS!!!!This means the developers didn't use good coding techniques for reading the file once and working with that copy in memory, but possibly read/close/open/read/close/reopen...etc. Issues with POORLY written file operations always amplified over connections to a networked device.I have about 3300 scans on a 1 gigabit network and a Synology NAS (file copying generally feel just as fast as local reads are) and after 3 hours this software is at 14% (485/3300) files!!! These PDF's are on average of 5-10 pages.Installs/updates: You can't just download the latest version of the software. I install what is on the website and get about 6-12 updates before it says it's current version.anytime you have to reinstall I have have to do this LONG "Import" process of all the scans that were natively scanned by this app.If the above were fixed this would be a awesome scanner experience.Sure you don't have to use their software for a TWAIN compliant device.Summary: Darn awesome scanner.... Could be awesome software if the I/O were fixed and written by competent developers. Sorry I'm a 35 Year Experienced Software Architect and I would have fired the dev team. Good thing I'm retired!!

Muy satisfecho con el escaner y con el ocr que lleva incorporado.

Stavo per restituirlo per un problema con la scansione . La la pronta assistenza del venditore mi ha risolto il problema ... mi ha inviato un video con le istruzioni per pulire il sensore : Problema Risolto !!!! Che dire : ottima assistenza. Il prodotto e' ottimo : veloce anche con scansioni su due lati !!! Io lo utilizzo con un Macpro e OSX Monterey ( ultimo sistema operativo perMac ). Perfettamente integrato con Vuescan Standard. Consigliato !!!

Funciona bien. Dispongo de W10 y al ir a descargar el software de la marca, me encuentro con que es un modelo algo antiguo y no tiene ni tendrá soporte para W11. No lo he probado con este sistema, pero igual funciona, solo que con el software genérico del propio Windows 11.En mi ordenador con W10 funciona genial, eso si.Edito:En las fotos y descripción, hay veces que sale el modelo s1300i. Aclarar nada más, que yo recibí el s1300.Despues de haberle dado un uso más intenso, paso a detallar:Es reacondicionado, como bien pone en la descripción. Aunque no está mal, se le nota que no es nuevo.Es posible conectarlo a la red eléctrica, o al USB del ordenador, con lo que se necesitarían 2 cables usb, uno para alimentación eléctrica y otro para datos, que en principio, vienen de origen, tanto los dos cables como el enchufe a la red. Dicen que alimentándolo con USB va más lento. Yo no lo puedo probar porque NO me viene el cable para alimentarlo por USB.Durante años he venido utilizando scaner Canon imageformula. El último que use fue un 215ii. En comparación, este es más gordote, pero también tiene un mejor alimentador automático de hojas, algo de lo que pecaba Canon. Eso si, el Canon, con un solo cable USB, bastaba para alimentación eléctrica y datos. Logicamente también venía con un cable para enchufarlo a la red convencional. En cuanto al escaneado, son bastante similares.El software de fujitsu, como dije antes, se queda en w10, su funcionamiento es muy correcto y ya no va a haber más soporte. Pero sin embargo, en la caja, viene una tarjetita en italiano, que viene a decir que descargues VueScan, que se trata de un software independiente, que si tiene drivers para w11 y más sistemas. Con el único inconveniente que es de pago, si bien se puede usar gratis, pero entonces, todo lo que escanees vendrá con una molesta y bien grande marca de agua. Lo he probado y es bastante correcto, sencillo y fácil de utilizar también.

Sono veramente contenta dell'acquisto. Subito ho avuto qualche problema per l'istallazione. Ho contattato direttamente il venditore , il quale è stato fantastico. È stato disponibilissimo, nonostante ci fossero problemi per installarlo sul mio computer, ha fatto l'impossibile per accontentarmi e ora tutto funziona e funziona benissimo. ASSISTENZA SUPER. Complimenti

Acquistato ricondizionato con Amazon Prime 05/2023 a EUR 139,99.Lo scanner è obsoleto e necessità di un software specifico (VUESCAN), diversamente non è possibile installarlo/utilizzarlo (non viene riconosciuto da Windows). Peccato che VUESCAN permetta di salvare le scansioni senza aggiunta di una filigrana solo nella versione a pagamento (circa 30 eur/anno per la versione base).Impensabile un investimento simile per uno scanner oggettivamente obsoleto che non si sa quanto possa durare.Ho effettuato il reso appena mi sono accorto della questione…Servizio Amazon impeccabile sia per la consegna che per il reso.
