This book is great. But some times you have to stop and another book because you well just just CAN'T CAN'T read more. So if you have another interesting book just read it.

Princess Olivia has a lot of problems. Her beloved father, the Duke, is sick and she worries he might never recover. Her aunt, the conniving Lady Sofia, wants Olivia to marry her son, Olivia's cousin Zuan, a nasty piece of work and with Olivia's father barely in the picture Olivia is not sure she can resist their plans. And without the Duke fully in control of his magic, the waters are rising and are threatening the city with flooding. And her people appear to be hungry and struggling and muttering against their rulers. Protected in the castle, Olivia decides to sneak into the city to find out the truth for herself but when she falls into the water something rescues her from drowning - Lucian, a water horse. The water horses have protected the city for many long years but with magic fading from the city they need the help of humans to become strong again and Olivia needs their help to protect her city. Along the way Olivia makes other friends but are all their efforts going to be enough to keep the waters back and to foil the plans of those plotting against Olivia and her father?I loved this story. It's funny and stirring and heroic and emotionally satisfying. I loved Etta the maid and Coco the cat and Jac and all the other characters. And I loved the funny moments. Just fantastic.Highly recommended.

This is a brilliant book which intrigued me from the beginning to the end. I would highly recommend it 👍

this is an great book i am aurprised because the nsecond book of this eries was very disappointing but this one i give four stars!
