Birds on the fence were not the problem. It was the squirrels running along top of fence to where they could drop into garden and dig up things I had just planted. I hoped these spikes would at least deter them for a bit. I think I have a squirrel or two who have high pain tolerance or are good at stepping between the points on the strips (I left no gaps.). I think I should have purchased something with longer, directional spikes that they would have MAYBE found more difficult to run over or around. Oh well....... at least the strips will deter the neighbor's dog from trying to climb over the fence and will definitely surprise a prowler not expecting anything sharp on the fence.

They work great and are very easy to work with. You do have to respect the fact that they are very sharp and will give a nasty cut.

I was hoping to install it on top of the balcony fence, but it is too lightweight and will fly away with the wind.I can't glue it, it has holes on the other side.

Installed these back in the early spring and for the first time, no birds have built nests.

Have never left a review for a product but this was so infuriating that I just had to leave a review.Admit it was easy to use and apply BUT squirrels simply walked through it by stepping between the spikes and leaping onto my bird feeder.Totally useless..

Awesome critter deterrent. Easy to put in any space & so far so good.

Did not even slow down the raccoon. I put these on all fours sides on the post holding my feeders from top to bottom. The raccoons if anything used this as a grip going up the post and a foot massage on the top.
