Encore Software PrintMaster Platinum V6

I recently was forced to buy a new computer and since I was using the now unsupported XP operating system, I had to replace the programs I was using as well. Print shop 10 and Printshop 3 (yes I said three) were two of them. I replaced them with Printmaster Platinum V6 I still have to get used to finding things on this program but I love it! It's as easy to use as Printshop was and even does a few things more and better than Printshop 10. That was a hard program to deal with because I'd have to keep interchanging discs depending upon what clipart or images I wanted to use. Printmaster does not do this. And PMP V6 allows me to download images off of my computer easily and efficiently.

I just received this in the mail today. I had hoped that the negative reviews were wrong. They weren't!! The control I had in previous versions (that I have been buying for almost twenty years!) is simply not there! It is very difficult to use, which should not be for a seasoned Pritmaster user. Almost in tears. I need this for making my class newsletters and such (I'm a teacher) and it's taken me almost two hours just to do one page. THEN when I printed it, to see how it was looking, it was NOT the way it appeared on the screen! Things were cut off. They say over 155,000 images. Really? I don't see even a quarter of what there used to be. In addition, there is no way to save as a PDF as in previous versions. Since I have to submit my newsletter to the office (who doesn't have the program, and therefore can't open it any other way to view it) this makes this utterly useless. There was NO packing slip inside my package. Now I know why. Will be contacting Amazon to find out how I can return this utterly disappointing product.

I had been using PM18 for several years and was very happy with it when I updated to Win8.1 and could no longer use it. I read all the reviews, which are mostly negative, so I knew there was going to be quite a learning curve. I started out with an open mind, willing to try new ways to do things, but this program seems unnecessarily clunky. I have a lot of clip art on my computer which I bought and love to use, but V6 makes it awkward to do so. Also cannot access all the fonts on my computer. I keep trying to design greeting cards , etc., but keep going back to my old, slow computer (which I expect to die any time now) to get my work done. I will probably end up buying another program---however, all the reviews i've read on other similar programs sound like they have the same kinds of problems. The company just wants us to buy more stuff from them instead of being creative and designing our own or buying from other artists.

I have used print master for years. I stopped upgrading. Because I found I would always go back to my old version for clip art and ease of use. I changed to apple so when this one can out I tried it. It works well with apple. It the clip art it is cute for my taste. I need t he grown version I guess.

It did exactly what I needed it to do and that was produce an eye-catching poster advertizing a Christmas Play.

Bought this because I LOVE print master in general. I had Print master 18.1 for Win 7 and was told it would not work with windows 8-10. I had so many old projects that I did not want to lose. I found one person on the net that said to try installing the 18.1 and it worked just fine on Windows 10. I never installed this program. I'm still using my old one. Before you purchase this one try installing your old one if you have it and love it. This is probably great as well but all of the old projects go the way of the wind.

As stated for earlier version, this is not Quark or Illustrator, so don’t expect to start a home business. It is easy for a quick card or flyer when you don’t need super precise measurements and prefer speed. Children are born with the ability to use it! Worth the money for the upgrade from 5.0.

I have used the older version of PrintMaster platinum for 15 years, and I loved it. I could create just about anything from scratch in minutes. It no longer worked on my windows 8, so I had to order an updated version. Horrible! It was designed for consumers who don't know how to make anything from scratch. You have to use their pre-planned examples. The graphics are cutesy. What happened to Phil Frank, my favorite illustrator? It was a total waste of money. I have resorted to using my husbands windows 7 computer and my old PrintMaster Gold addition. This product was a big disappointment.
