Look at me! The guy with a bright light on my chest!
I just received the heated hoodie today so I haven't tried out the heat yet. But, right out the box, I'm happy so far and felt the need to share.1- I reviewed this thing so deep you'd think it was a murder case. I noticed a lot of reviews talking about it being too small. I wear large tall. I'm 6'3" 225lbs. I ordered an XL because usually large regulars are too short in the sleeves. XL fits just as a sweatshirt should. Not to tight but not baggy. So if your into your jackets or sweatshirts being a little oversized then you should order a size up. Maybe 2.2- It's got some weight to it. And not because of the heating elements. It's just a thick sweatshirt. Have you ever bought a GOOD hoodie? Not the thin cheap ones you get for $20 at the department store. But the ones that are thick. Comfy and warm ones. That's what this one feels like. I may not even need the heating element unless it's like 45 F or below.3- So let's talk about the light. It's annoying. It's bright. It screams "Look at me! I've got a heated jacket. Ask me about it!". Obviously, I'm not a fan. But it is what it is. It definitely isn't a deal breaker for me but worse case scenario, I wear this under another jacket which I plan to do. (I bought this for work. I work in refineries).4- Delivery! I feel this is odd to comment on because I think a bad/good delivery is completely random. BUT! I'm going to say my peace anyways.I live in southern Illinois. I ordered through Amazon prime. I placed the order Wednesday late afternoon and it arrived on my doorstop in 2 days on Friday at 1pm. So my particular delivery situation was awesome. BUT! You may not get the same situation. Never know.4- The battery size is a 2" square at about 3/4" thick. Weighs about as much a roll of quarters and has its own little zip up pocket. Pocket is on the inside/lower front. I don't even notice it.5- So I went with the zip up sweatshirt because I figured if it was brutally cold I can just wear it under my coat. And when it's just mildly cold I can still be comfortable. This sweatshirt has 2 front pockets for your hands. No inside pockets except for the small one for the battery. The hood is oversized so when you put it on it's not just covering half my head. The hood itself is also thick just like the jacket itself. The zipper is standard. Not heavy duty. It also has draw strings in the hood. As far as the heating elements and the wiring? You don't even know they are there. This item came with a travel bag to out it in. It came with battery and 1 charger which are both unique and can only be purchased through the brands company.Right now I am happy with it and would totally recommend to a friend. (Because you know they will be asking me about it. I'll be the only one with a bright light on my chest). I haven't tried the heating part yet but I will be updating this review soon. I plan to use this all next week.

Finally warm!
I took the suggestions I bought a size smaller then I usually wear. I'm 5'5" 250lbs and wearing a M. The heat is wonderful. In the 19 degree NYC weather medium is enough to keep me warm under my jacket and trust me I'm always cold! The battery last like a whole day of on and off use (my coworkers like keeping the windows open in winter) Best $120 I spent.

Quality, very useful
The build quality of the shirt is high, although it's definitely made in an indoor style - if you plan to take it outside, treat it as a jacket liner, not as an out cover.I've attached an infrared photograph of the hoodie running at high/maximum power, I think that answers a lot of questions. There isn't one heating pad on the back, as another customer said, but one on the back, and two in the front, on either side of the chest. None in the arms, none in the hood. (the squiggly orange lines in the picture are lengths of wire that heats up, this is how the hoodie works) Also, as the picture shows, in a warm house (not outside), the max temperature will be 105 F, which is nice. I felt like there was a nice heat output, which is something that's needed on cold days. The included battery seems to be of good quality and capacity and fits into an inside picket. The battery has a power button, but it essentially does nothing - the actual power button is the small button on the upper left chest in the photo - press it 3 seconds to turn on or off. I did get frustrated a little bit when the battery button wouldn't work, but eventually reviewed the manual and figured it out. Pressing it quickly, once, cycles through the modes (pre-warm, low, medium, high) - the little button will light up with different colors to indicate what the setting is, so there's no way to get confused.

BUY THIS JACKET!
Okay so first off, order 1 size smaller than what you normally would. I'm a really skinny guy but I'm 6'2" so I normally need medium jackets to be long enough, but I ordered a small and it's still a tiny bit big on me but it's just about right. As a born and raised Texan that moved recently to Ohio, this jacket was an awesome choice for me. When the weather is in the 20s and 30s before work or at the local football games I can flip it on and be warm enough to not really mind the cold. It's really great waiting for the truck to warm up!The sleeves do NOT have heaters in them, but it really doesn't make a difference, there's so much heat in the mid section that you don't notice the arms as much.My biggest complaint is easily the brightness of the LED. It brings a lot of attention to you and you get a lot of people ask why your jacket is glowing. I wish there was a switch in the pocket or something.I don't work outside for a living so I don't keep the heater on for more than a couple hours at a time and the battery has never died on me. I charge it about once a week or 2 weeks depending on the weather. Have not tried the battery to charge my phone.I have run it through the washer and air dried it andit still works perfect, just make sure you don't dry it with heat (Per the instructions)! It seems like a high price for a jacket but it is 5 stars worth it for what I use it for. If I was working outside in the cold all day it'd make a good middle layer, but not the only jacket you should wear in that kind of cold exposure.

It's Uh-MAZINGGGGG!!!
Seriously the BEST investment. Tried it on as soon as I got it as well as plugged everything in to so how it warmed up. Very fast warming time, got super warm, and can't wait to see how it lasts through this first winter. Also, I thought It was really awesome that it came with interchangeable charger ports, so when I travel out of the U.S.A. I can still use my jacket and charge it! Reccomend size smaller if you want it to fit perfect, if you want it to fit a bit big order your size. I am 5'7 and roughly 160 lbs. 😊

Disappointed
Very nice material and the battery feels like quality. It is a little bit big so if you want it to be tight on you if you're a large then get medium but I wear it at work so a large for me is fine under my coveralls and gives me breathing room. The packaging was very nice. On medium it gets more than hot enough for -10c weather and it heats up fast. The material is very silky and fleece on the inside. Everything about it screams quality but it's a little frumpy when it comes to the zipper and how it waves in and out. For some reason with the battery plugged into the sweater I have to turn on the battery with the power button on the battery itself, then I can use the sweater button to work it but the sweater button itself won't turn it on. This is strange to me.EDIT: Changing my review completely after a month of owning this sweater. The first unit I received, the battery became defective after just a day of use and would not turn on the sweater no matter what I did. I got a replacement from Amazon and the new one worked great for a bit, but now it shuts off constantly after I turn it on (when there is still full battery) and when charging the charger flashes red green intermittently and the battery itself only charges about half way. This combined with the battery shutting off over and over makes the hoodie useless. I loved it when it did work but.. it doesn't. This all seems to come down to faulty batteries and very poor qc on them, as if the sweater and the charger are reading empty/full prematurely. Wouldn't recommend this sweater.

Super expensive low-capacity battery.
Battery life is abysmal. If you're in -10c weather you'll need it on max setting just to see a 15 degree improvement. The battery will then last around 4-4.5 hours max. I had this fully charged when I went to work. I turned it on at 9am and by 1:30 it had powered off and wouldn't turn back on. There's only a 4400mah battery in it and yet its $90 to purchase a second one. You can buy a double capacity usb brick for half the cost so they are gouging for a proprietary battery as material costs are nothing special. The USB port for charging is useless. My phone dash charges at 4amps and this hardly slow charges. The capacity is so low that technically if you charged a modern cell phone, you'd only have enough juice for around 40 minutes. Another thing is how big the brick is compared to the capacity! Take a look at a 4000mah cell phone battery. You could easily fit 12 of them in the chassis of this power brick. It could have been made a fraction of the size.I own a proper Bosch heated jacket and I can get a full 8 hours on high without issues. The batteries have a way higher capacity and if you need a second one to swap out (long day outdoors) a second battery can be had for $42.Its highway robbery.

Good, but needs improvement.
Firstly, I'm very satisfied with this hoodie. It's obviously well constructed. It fit according to my expectations. (I'm a 5'9" woman who is 140 lbs. I like my hoodies to be oversized, and I purchased a medium, which fit nice and baggy, just about covers my butt and the sleeves are long enough to hide my hands in). The liner is very soft and cuddly, and the hoodie itself is thick and warm. The hood is a good size and so are the pockets. The zipper seems pretty sturdy, however, the zipper is plastic. Hopefully it will hold up to use, but plastic zippers can be temperamental and I don't prefer them. The item is pretty easy to use. The instructions are straightforward and it heats up quickly and evenly and the battery life is true to what's advertised. The heat is really, really nice! I'm always cold and this is just what I've always needed. Now onto the cons. I've already mentioned the zipper, which is on the fence- if it holds up, great, but metal would be better. The heating element only covers the top half of your torso. I knew this when I bought it, but it really would be better if the heating wires covered the low back as well.It gets nice and warm, however, I'd prefer a warmer highest setting.None of these are major problems, just preferences. However, the battery definitely makes the hoodie less pleasurable to wear. The battery is large, cumbersome and heavy, so much so that it drags the sweater down on one side. That's right; one side. Instead of placing it in the center / low back (which would justify the lack of low back heat), this large and heavy battery is placed in a pouch in the left side of the garment. It's uncomfortable, annoying, and hard to ignore. The battery is bulky and heavy, and the placement makes the sweater lopsided and sort of awkward. This would be much better either in the back of the sweater, or as two smaller batteries, one on each side. This design flaw is the only reason I've given the sweater 4 instead of 5 stars. All in all I'd say it was worth the $150 bucks and I like it, but it would be vastly improved with changes to the power source.

Not that great to be honest
Pros:- It’s a better fit than the other heated hoodie brands.- The slow fade on the LED when turning it off is cool.Cons:- Zipper is super annoying very hard to work with and zip. Very small and regular metal teeth; they should’ve went with the larger teeth for ease of zipping, similar to the ones they use on some backpacks. I found myself fiddling so much trying to get it to zip properly in the morning when I’m trying to catch my bus. It will probably break or get dislodged. I don’t use it much now so won’t know. I got another heated hoodie because I disliked this one that much.- It’s a very thin hoodie, which means you need to run the heat longer and it won’t retain both natural body heat and powered heat as well.- The sleeve ends are kind of annoying.- The worse con is probably the damn proprietary battery! You can only buy extra batteries from them and it’s not USB powered!! Which means it’s hard to have backups.I got the Venture Heat Evolve Heated Hoodie instead which was the ultimate heated hoodie that, although didn’t fit as well as Ororo and a bit oversized, at least didn’t have the issues the Ororo does: it has a better zipper that’s super easy to use, even in the two inner pockets, very thick and fleece-lined (warmest hoodie I own including my non-heated hoodies!) which means less powered heating needed and sometimes don’t even need to turn it on, has two pockets and is very comfortable. Best of all, it’s USB powered!!! Just need any USB power bank! HOWEVER, the version I have is discontinued and the new Evolve hoodie is no longer USB powered :( Please bring it back. They argue that USB power doesn’t provide the current needed for max heat, but um just make it USB-C with PD then for up to 5 amps at 20 volts… I personally had no issues with the heat on my old Evolve.

Good but small
Good quality, battery last longer than I thought it would. But size wise am a med and med is small... I bought my gf a small ventury heated sweeter its bigger than the med ororo . Now battery of the ororo connects with a round plug vs USB of the ventury... So you are stuck useing ororo batteries, that alone is a big draw back as I was planning on I swing this in military vehicles just plug it in the sigaret adaptor. So to small and round plug... So am gonna gift this to my younger sister and buy a ventury to get that USB plug ...
