IKEA400.701.85 Bekvam Spice Rack, Birch, Set of 4

First off, these most likely would've been slightly cheaper straight from Ikea. However, I don't want to break up with my boyfriend so I decided to get them from Amazon. (trips to Ikea are known to break relationships) I had been looking for spice racks for quite some time, one of my friends uses these as nail polish holders in her bathroom. They work great! I love that I can adjust the shelf height as well as placement. Hardware came with for install, we did wind up but different drywall anchors though. These are quite plain shelves which means you can paint, stain, colour to your hearts content. I used a dark walnut stain that we have used in our kitchen table, coffee table, one of the hardwood floors, etc. I didn't wind up using varnish or polyurethane which I might down the road. The nice thing with stain it that it does seal and protect to an extent. We aren't using these to eat off of so stain is sufficient.It was exceptionally easy to put together on my own. No man needed for extra strength. I use them only for savory spices at the moment. I use a built in spice rack in the cabinets for baking things. These have lasted for over a year with no problem and I loved being able to adjust the height and design. Well worth it and easy to put together and customize!

This is the second time I've purchased these racks. I'm a hobby woodworker so I could have easily made something similar. But, for the cost, about $10 per unit, and, considering the time required making them, these seemed like a good deal for me. There doesn't seem to be any way anymore to include photos so I'll just try to describe as best as possible.The spice rack I made attaches to the back of a panty door. I actually hung it from the top of the door so no holes were required in the door . Using 6 of these racks, I attached each rack end to a 1 X 4 X 48" pine board with screws.My recent application was to make a "canned goods" storage unit using 8 of these racks. Again, I attached 1 X 4 boards on each end of the racks. This unit is about 72" tall and just sits on the floor against another tall pantry cabinet. I did attach the top of the unit to the top of the pantry cabinet to prevent tip-over.The overall quality of the racks is good. Don't expect "furniture-quality" material, but, the wood is nearly blemish free and very acceptable. Holes and parts fit well together. Assembly is super easy and the required Allen head wrench is included. The "bar" at the front keeps things from falling off. For the spice rack version, I DID make a unit back. The canned goods version didn't need a back since it rests against the cabinet I attached it to.These racks might also be candidates for small parts/material storage for a craft or garage area.

I purchased the two pack. They arrived quickly and thoughtfully packaged. The two shelves came wrapped together in their original Ikea packaging. If you google "Ikea spice rack" you'll find results like "13 hacks for Ikea spice racks". Organize nail polish, ribbon, or jewelry. Display books, plants, or jars. Use it as a hand towel rack or a... spice rack. The uses are endless and the internet is chock full of inspiration. It's a classic Ikea item. It's much more inexpensive at Ikea, but not everyone lives near one. It's such a simplistic yet clever design. It's solid birch and additional sanding isn't absolutely necessary but wouldn't hurt. Paint it, stain it, and/or repurposed it. It's an unfailing boss of shelf. Highly recommend.

These shelves are great! I sanded them down and stained them. I used a black wood stain that I wiped off after applying to get an old weathered kind of look. I hung them up in my craft room to hold kid art supplies. I cleaned out empty food cans (opened with a safety can opener), covered them with designer duct tape, and I store scissors, pens, markers, etc in them on the shelves. I am so happy with how organized everything is and how good it looks. I bought 8 of these because they aren't huge. They fit perfect on the wall space that I have available and I couldn't be happier.The quality is decent (they are actual wood), they are sturdy, and they are easy to put together and hang. Can't go wrong.

The media could not be loaded. We used these shelves for 5-6 years for my kids. They’ve held art supplies, books, cars, and Barbie’s over the years. They are sturdy and easy to install. I’ve never had an issue with them falling off the wall or items being too heavy for them.

I love these little shelves! I use them to hold my child's books and can get about 4-5 books on each (depending on the book size). I love how they display the covers and that the raw wood material is easy to paint. I decided to paint half of it a color the keep the natural color on parts. I will say installing them is a little tricky as you of course need to be sure you place the screws level and they can hold the appropriate weight before you slide the shelves on. A coupes of my shelves I had to be pretty aggressive to get them to snap onto the screw. But once installed I haven't had any issues and they look fantastic!!

S’était exactement ce que je voulais. Seule bémol il est 50% moins cher chez ikea. Donc j’aurais été l’acheter moi même l’avoir su avant. Mais C’est un très bon produit.

Wir haben sie fürs Kinderzimmer gekauft für ein paar Bücher. Sehr leicht zu montieren und anzubringen. Auf den ersten Blick sehr stabil Mal abwarten ob es auch hält wenn die Kids daran Zugänge waren ☺️

These were great and so much cheaper than elsewhere. I sanded and stained them to match other furniture which was very easy as light finish to start with.
