Works great, but has some faults.
Just be aware that some of these can be faulty. For the most part, they work well. Not too sensitive and the strobe is excellent. I put these in my multiunit building. Fire inspectors love them. But every once in a while a brand new one will misfire and just doesn't work properly. So you have to send them back. Also, the back-up battery holder will break easily, rendering the unit useless. Again, the only thing to do is replace it. And that can get expensive. But what is the cost for peace of mind? I've got tenants that I have to protect.

Strobe Light allarlm for the hearing impaired.
I have a severe hearing problem and a regular smoke alarm would not wake me. My wife is very hard to wake up. This strobe light alarm isconnected with the other smoke/carbon monoxide alarms in the house, 6 in all. This would wake me in an emergency without a doubt.

Very good product.
Bright strobe, and loud alarm. ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY if you have elderly people / hard of hearing people in your home. I like this product allot, and I would have given it 5 starts if only it were less expensive.

Great product but check prior to purchase to find out hearing range. They don't help everyone.
We got these and paid to have them installed. I love the thought.Unfortunately, my Husband can't hear them either. He can see the strobe if he is looking though.Different tones help different people. Please check with your doctor to find out what level of sound to buy that help you.

Works great so far; made in Mexico
Bought 3 and installed in all-BRK hardwired system, worked perfectly when I tested, great solution since one person in the apartment was hard of hearing. I linked to BRK CO/smoke combo alarms as well - wish it was easier to tell the difference between CO and smoke alarm signals; also CO/smoke combo alarms are not available with strobe. Also, made in Mexico, hoping quality is good for the long term and wish BRK would make in the USA or similar country with workplace and environmental safeguards.

Work great, easy to install, all smoke detectors link together well with my old 3 wire system.Solves my loss of hearing problem.
