FUR TANNING KIT

This was so easy to use, great instructions. I found a deer hide that was left by a hunter, this kit allowed me, a first timer to tanning (and a former city dweller) to save the beautiful deer hide. I really appreciated the included scraper and the easy to follow instructions. I now have a soft and functional hide that is so meaningful to me because I am able to honor the life of this deer by using it’s skin. I also salvaged it’s hooves and bones which I’ve used to make mobiles.

Very simple instructions and it is easy to use. The scraper in the kit was far better than the one I purchased separately from a different seller on amazon. Melby Outdoors is really good at responding to questions that have come up during the process. This is my first time tanning, starting with 3 deer hides. I’m currently half way through the process and have been in contact with them as a resource to make sure I have the best quality hides.

I ordered this Fur Tanning Kit from Melby Outdoors after the Minnesota slug season. I'm extremely impressed and excited how well this kit worked on my hide. This was the first hide I've ever tanned by myself and I was a little bit nervous at first, but the instructions were really easy to follow and I'm extremely pleased with the results .I also ordered the Skull Whitening Kit from Melby Outdoors, it really made my European mount look fantastic. I've attached some pictures so everyone can see the results first hand. I will definitely be ordering these products again!

Ok let me say I am a novice at doing hides.Got this product for trying to work on rabbit hides.Scraper tool works well, the ther products that came for tanning hides of rabbits does a good job.Will update when I get a deer hide.I will be buying again and recommend this product

Was very disappointed in this set, the scrapper is absolute garbage took me hours to scrape a raccoon with and just ended up using my skinning knife, tanning solution just seems to almost do nothing to the hides after sitting for days in a heated room, I have followed the instructions step by step. The instructions are simple and strait forward. Instructions were probably the most useful item. Even the gloves ripped apart and were garbage. Seriously y’all just spend a lil bit more money on getting something nicer and you will not regret it.
