Excellent book.. If one's curious to know about "deshvaag" he or she must go through this book...

This is the third installment of Sunil Ganguly's famous time trilogy, although written much before his best work Prothom alo but this book is actually the third part and captures the time period from 1930-1971. Unlike his other two time epics, this has much less number of historical characters, most of the characters are imaginary but still it depicts the turbulent times of independence, naxalite movement, Indo-Pak war, mukti yudh of bangladesh etc very accurately. Though stretched a bit in many places but still good to read. Those who are interested in partition of India and formation of Bangladesh, can read this book for sure.

The pricing of the book has made it unaffordable for many. It should be priced below 500 so masses can read it not just elites.

এ উপন্যাস, প্রত্যেক বাঙালির পড়া উচিৎ। রবীন্দ্র পরবর্তী যুগের অন্যতম সেরা উপন্যাস।(বইটির দাম অনেকটাই বেশি। পেপারব্যাক হিসেবে প্রকাশ করলে, পাঠকরা উপকৃত হবেন।)

It is one of the greatest creation by Sunil Gongopadhya. The novel is very lengthy. So the reader should have the patience to get the whole amazing world. From first page every one will enjoy sure.
