Affordable Heavy-Duty Windscreen
Obviously it's a soft and flexible material, it doesn't *feel* as heavy-duty as thick foam, but it kills plosives and wind noise far more effectively than any foam I've tried. This allows me to do all sorts of extreme stuff like use plosive-prone mics like the SE V7x for vocals without fear. It also has less impact on the high-end compared to ultra-thick foam windscreens, but there's still more roll-off than you'd get with a thin foam cover. It's a very useful tool for the price, and a must-have if you regularly work outdoors, have extremely plosive-prone mics, or record with a fan blowing on you for some reason.

Fits great, works well.
Works a bit better in my sound environment at removing plosives and other unwanted mouth sounds than a foam windscreen on my Shure SM58 mic. Not too compressed in shipping, added a standard sized Bic lighter for size comparison. The quality is great, feels soft and I didn't notice any of the little microhairs coming off as I pulled at them. There is a little cloth tab on the elastic band that helps with putting it on a mic, try not to catch any of the hairs when you're doing that or some will naturally be pulled out. It is a bit loose on the mic I have.I took some other reviewer's advice and put this over a foam windscreen on my mic. That works better than either foam or this alone at removing those unwanted mouth sounds. It did not sound like I was "behind some material" as I read from some other people, very clear audio.

Almost perfect...
Bought these for a pair of SM58's. I knew there was a chance they would fit a little loose and of course they do. A zip tie fixes that if you don't plan on removing it any time soon. Quality of the fir so far seems good as well as the medium and method by which it is attached. No shedding when the fir is pulled. Did a few vocal runs at varying distances and the difference is dramatic. Measurable differences in de-essing and pop with less high frequency loss than anticipated. Noticeable difference in wind noise reduction when recording under high gain/sensitivity loads (field recording), again with less high frequency loss than expected. Also a remarkable decrease in other suburban noise contamination. The material has no noticeable odor. Hoping they make one for an MXL990.

Worth the purchase.
A bit difficult to install but works like a charm with no interference to the vocals.

Great basic windscreen
Really cuts the wind noise from a mic. Fits great on an SM 58.

Works for me
I just took this out on its maiden voyage outdoors on a windy day. Used it on a Rode NT1-A large condenser mic. Fit was good, and handled the wind noise very well. More cost effective than some of the other alternatives. Will use it for all of my outdoor gigs.

Fits well and seems well made
Well made and a secure fit on my AKG D5. I haven't had a chance to try it on a windy day yet but it looks like it will do a good job.
