Fried and Salted Spanish Marcona Almonds - 1 LB / 453 G

These are fresh, great tasting almonds. My wife and I both enjoy these alomonds

The almonds I received bore no resemblance whatever to the ones pictured. They are almonds, yes, but not fried as pictured. No flavor, no salt, and a waste of my money.

Marcona Almonds are my favorite!

I am very frustrated because I bought these to serve at a wedding that I am catering on Saturday. When they arrived last week, the bag was open (cut with a box cutter, it looks like.) There were almonds all over on the inside of the package, which included other items. I tasted one of the almonds that was still in the bag, hoping that I could salvage at least a few of them. It was stale and rancid tasting and the texture was soft. Not at all what I want to serve at a wedding! I asked for a replacement, and was told that the item isn't "eligible" for return. That is unacceptable in my opinion.

I like them, I don't know why people are giving them such bad reviews. They have a smooth oily surface, and slightly salty. If I could change anything I might add just a touch more salt, but I can do that myself. Other Marcona almonds I've tried always seem to be really dry, these aren't.

I've tried other marcona almonds from Amazon before, but was disappointed. I couldn't find them locally, so for years I just did without. But finally, I decided to take a chance again. This time I searched for "fried and salted..."--and I hit the jackpot! These nuts are fresh, with a great nutty flavor, enhanced by the salt and the slick of the oil they were fried in. I'll get these again, for sure, and you should too!
