Solera Black Slide Topper Awning - 11' (10'7" Fabric)

I gave it a 4 because of the following reasons. 1. The price-it has to cost a fortune to ship these, but they still seem pricey.2. Silver bolts on black hardware (see pictures). You spend this much and it looks tacky.3. Instructions-I am a social worker (not an engineer) and could write better instructions. These are the steps I found helpful with installation. First, attach the rail to the RV. Second, attach the mounting plates to the slideout. Then feed the topper in to the rail on the RV and set it on the roof of the RV. Next, put the moving plate on the plate the is mounted to the slide. Now, bring the topper down in place and run the connector rod through it all. Notice the position of the end arm on the topper (see picture). Make appropriate side to side adjustments and screw it in place. Finally, remove the silver tension pins. Good luck.

Product arrived in good shape and we installed 2 toppers in about an hour. HOWEVER one of the flange plates that holds the arm to the side of the slide out which should have been tapped for a small set screw was not tapped. As that's the last step in the process, we had the topper fully installed. Clearly this was a miss from the factory. I immediately contacted the vender and although it was clearly not their fault, they responded quickly and after a couple of pictures reached out to the manufacturer and got a replacement sent to me via UPS. That's outstanding support! In the end very happy with the product and how it looks. Would absolutely go back to the vender for other products when the time comes..

First, it arrived WEEKS before the anticipated date. SWEET! Second, the written instructions for installation can be a little confusing. I suggest viewing etrailer.com's installation video, it does not go in the same order but it is extremely helpful for visual learners. Third, it works as anticipated and all the parts for a new install are present. Installing ourselves saved us several hundred dollars on two units. I am excited to take our newly protected and upgraded Imagine out on the road! Finally, do not think you can DIY this install alone. You need at least one extra pair of hands.

The aluminum bracket on the slide broke in half. It permanently attaches the awning to the slide out. we have emailed twice called twice with no response. Ugh. And of course it happened on the last day we could have returned it. Plz contact me

Shippment arrived without end caps but contents undamaged. Installation ws not difficult due to factory installed slide topper prep package, mounting rail and plates, on trailer.

On both Amazon product page and Lippert websites it shows a direct mount bracket. I specifically picked this slide out topper because the bracket was small enough to fit between the refrigerator vent and the top of the slide out. The included bracket is two part for the purpose of pre-install of bottom bracket at some RV manufacturers. This new mounting method enlarged the mounting footprint such that it is useless for my application. The worst part was how unhelpful Lippert was when I called for help with solutions. They were unfriendly and curtly told me that this is the way they come now and there is no alternative even for me to PAY for the old bracket. Luckily they were wrong and I was able to track down the other mounting bracket complete with Lippert part numbers. Had to pay for the bracket but it beats having to return a huge 12ft /50lb package. Would have gone with a different manufacturer based on misrepresentation and had horrible customer service.

Very pleased! Surprisingly easy to install (although it took a while) and looks very nice.

Waited 3 weeks and was missing a part, was told I had to ship it back and order a different one. Now I will have to wait again, we will see if all of the parts show up this time.
