There are no less than 100 aerosol paints that are described as "aluminum" or "metal gray". POR-15 Detail Paint - Cast Aluminum is the EXACT color of Apple's Mac Pro 3,1, 4,1 & 5,1 models; as well as a number of Mac Book Pro's of vintage eras. Sprays evenly and -usually- two coats will yield professional results. For discerning individuals, this paint is a must.

Excellent product, I use it on all my aluminum so it doesn't oxidize.
I love this stuff. I really like that bare aluminum look, but the problem is that after you clean and brush it, it will oxidize in a year or two. You could clear it but then it looks shiny. This is the product that solves all that. It comes out so your aluminum looks like it is freshly cast and will protect your aluminum for oxidizing.It does have one trick to it though. When applying, if you apply too thick or with multiple coats, it will crack easily once a bolt or nut is tightened onto whatever you sprayed. Instead, think of this product as a dye or coloring spray. Just a light coat to color the aluminum and then leave it. This will let you crank down nuts and bolts without the finish underneath cracking.

Good quality spray paint, accurate colors
Por 15 is a good quality touch- up paint. I ordered a can to re-paint the hubcaps on my truck. Cast Aluminum is accurate in it's color rendering. I sprayed the plastic caps several times. The caps came out perfect. Thanks.

Great for Detail Work
The POR-15 aerosols are a convenient alternative for spraying with the brush-on variety with paint gun. The pattern is nice and covers the very well. Two coats usually do the trick, and the paint cures hard as a rock just like the stuff in the can. I used this on the main sections of half-shafts and the drive shaft of my 1969 Corvette.

Makes everyone look like a pro
I was painting a mopar inspection cover. I primed it first and then gave it a couple of coats of POR-15 Aluminum Detail paint. It went on easy and came out looking exactly what I was looking for. Great products!
