What I love most about Revlon is that you get quality beauty products at a very affordable cost. I decided to try the Revlon Colorstay Longwear nail polish in "Jungle" #225, purely on a whim. I guess you could say this was an impulse buy.Pros...Revlon's claims are true when it comes to this polish. The polish goes on smoothly with just one coat, although it doesn't hurt to apply two or three if you wish. It looks very shiny and feels great on my nails. Chipping is minimal, which is definitely a plus.Cons..."Jungle" is a lovely dark green, don't get me wrong. But I wish that there were a bit more dimension to it. In some lights it appears to be black and I'm way past the goth phase I went through back in high school. It is very edgy and unique, a nice fall/winter color. It looks decent paired with some cool rings, kind of an alternative look. It would also be an ideal background for ladies into nail art (camouflage nails, anyone?)However, it's a bit too dark...the green is only noticeable in strong sunlight and even then, I have to strain my eyes to see it. It's a shame because with a hint of shimmer to bring out the green, this polish would be improved. I might have to play around with mixing it with a lighter shimmery green (Revlon "Spanish Moss") and a white or off-white polish.edit: this polish stained my nails badly...they are still yellow after almost two weeks since the day I took it off with remover. Maybe I should have applied a good base coat or something, but this is horrible. I don't recommend this product unless you aim for stained nails and a polish that looks nice in the bottle, but ugly on your nails.
