Simple to use, decent instructions, took 10min to install EZ package for regular fuel
UPDATE! After almost a year, I had to smog the truck in California. It was easy to go back to factory defaults and pass the test, then re-program. Be sure to drive around for a day or two after reprogram to allow ecu to be scannable by smog jerks.Easy peasy Cali safe.Noticeable performance difference. I've got a 2006 GMC 2500HD with the 6.0 liter 364CID engine. It's very old, and tired - with 219k on it. I've only done 2 modifications from stock. One was the K&N FIPK and the other is the JET programmer. The FIPK added a very minimal improvement in throttle response, mileage and I don't have any meaningful way to measure horsepower/torque. I gained about 1.5mpg based on 3 tanks prior and 2 tanks with FIPK.Average was 14.7MPG overall 3 tanks. After FIPK was 16.13 (rounded out math)The JET programmer gave the truck a noticeable performance difference. I'm sure it's helped somewhat by the FIPK.The instructions were spot on, the entire procedure to setup, backup original ECU tune, and install the "EZ" Jet recommended tune. I did the tune for REGULAR fuel. The improvement was immediate and noticeable. 2 tanks of fuel and I am at 17.2mpg and noticeable power increase at part throttle, improved shifting, and the truck seems to be lighter on its feet.At a retail price of $300 - we're looking at 100 gallons of fuel in California to break even on cost/benefit (which thanks to the democrats is the highest fuel cost in the nation) - so payoff for me will be around a year or so.YMMV, personal experience only.If you are looking to improve mileage, this gives some benefit. It definitely improves driveability, throttle response, and definitely more power under part throttle conditions. With almost 220k on the truck, I'm not racing it, and I'm not looking for dyno numbers. But it will definitely help your performance and still allow you to remain California smog legal.Still pricey for what they produce - but it's a straight-forward "software only" upgrade that took 15min to install. No issues, and the truck was immediately driveable with no problems.

Don't Risk it
This thing destroyed my computer. Did everything properly but it got halfway through the process and stopped leaving my truck dead and needing a tow to the Chevy dealer. Not sure about performance or mileage gains because it never worked and I will never use anything that alters my computer again. Was I just the unlucky one that got that one bad product? Maybe. Maybe you can be too! Don't take the chance. Not worth it.

Happy I did this
My truck runs fantastic. It does offer greater power and fuel efficiency. I am getting over 15 miles/gallon with a 2005 Silverado, combined hwy/town, 5.3 liter engine. I put my foot into it all the time (I also have a dual series 40 Flowmaster exhaust system and a K&N cold air intake kit). I really noticed a big difference in the shifting. The shifts points that are programmed offer a smoother shift and transfer of power. My friend noticed that before I told him I had put the programmer in. It was easy to do. Just make sure you follow the instructions and pull ALL the fuses it tells you to. I thought I was smarter then they were and left a fuse in. The first time it failed. The second time it worked. DUH!! : )

Maybe it'll work for you
It wouldn't connect to my truck. Jet service was really helpful but I had to return.

Useless tool
Locked to a previous vehicle makes this programmer 100% useless.

JET PERFORMANCE PROGRAMMER
This programmer works great for the money, If you spend 3 times the money you can have a little more self programs available to play with. If you want to really spend some money, Have one of the people that map your own fuel system as per your ride and style of driving.

Unhappy customer
Hoping the the 3rd time we get the correct item. 1st one didn't work, 2nd one was wrong product in correct item box and was cracked and broken. It was almost a 3 weeks back and forth trying to get the right item. I'm not happy that I still paid over $300 for this item and it took forever to get the right one, we'll I guess we are yet to see if the 3rd one does work and is correct. We'll 3 times wasn't a charm. This product didn't change anything on my husband's truck and took forever to even work. I would not recommend purchasing this programmer.
