Uggg. There nothing more irritating than having to clear the driveway of 12 inches of snow and having your electric start on the blower issue a few meager cranks and then a puff of smoke. Yea pull starting is in order until the ripe breaks Thankfully it broke and started at the same time. I ordered this started as it was half the price of my usual online parts place. It shipped quickly and was delivered 4 days sooner than quoted (i sometimes feel unrealistic shupping times are given to make you get all excited that it really only took a normal time). This did fit my Huskee blower but the upper tabs on this one had to be filed down a bit as i could not line up the lower mounting holes. We are only talking a dozen strokes of a file. I probably could have bent the tabs slightly but the file worked. The switch fit perfectly. I plugged it in and it fired right up and the blower started. The unit comes with all new mounting screws if youve broken or lost the old ones. It also includes a short 10 ft extention cord which is nice and heavy duty and works well if your close enough to a power outlet. It was well packed and seems to be as close to the original as possible. I very nice option for a less expensive starter.

Bottom holes on mounting bracket didn't line up. I had to drill out holes slightly in order for the screw threads to catch without cross threading. Killed an hour on an easy 5 minute job. Other than that, the starter works very well. Tecumseh HMSK 80 snow thrower.

This was the perfect replacement for the starter on my Ariens 8526 snow blower. Easy installation and works great.

Got this to replace my 25 year old Tecumseh Snow King Electric Start which has been going out for awhile now, thought it was time to replace. I was able to get this attached without removing the gas tank. I left the original top 2 bolts on and I found out that the original bolts won't work on the bottom. Use the bolts provided for the bottom 2 and a Torx 30 and it tightened right up. Great replacement part.

Arrived quickly and was a perfect replacement for my Husqvarna 10530SBE with a Tecumseh LH358SA. The part fit perfectly, and came complete with all mounting hardware but no instructions. This was fortunate as one of my starter bolts was missing. Installation requires a minimum of tools - A phillips Screwdriver, a T30 Torx driver, a socket set with a 1/4 and 3/4 socket (or nutdrivers) and a 2' bungee cord. Installation was simple ... remove the cowl, disconnect the spark plug, remove the two screws holding the switch down, remove the two bolts holding the starter in place and remove the starter. I then rotated the gas tank out of the way (first shutting off the fuel) and held it to the handles with the bungee in this way I did not have to remove the fuel line. This let me see the top locating screws for the starter and simplified slipping it in. inserted the two bolts to hold it down. put the gas tank back in place. located the cord and mounted the switch. Test fired it then re-installed the cowl. Total time less than 15 minutes. Given the OEM part costs about $150 and shop labor is about $75/hr I think I saved about $100 doing this myself.

The new starter arrived in two days and was well packaged. The kit contained an assortment of screws which I used to replace the Torx bolts when I put the new starter in. The installation was a breeze. Remove the old bottom bolts and slide the old starter out. Slip the new starter in while sliding the upper U flanges under the upper bolts. No need to remove the fuel tank or anything else. I did not have a torx screwdriver so I used the 10mm metric socket. Since the new hex bolts were a shade longer than the original, I used the included washer between the starter lug and the screw head. The only addition that I made was some Threadlock on the mounting bolts. The entire job took less than 20 min. I easily saved $150 to 200 and all that I needed was a Phillips screwdriver, a metric socket set and the ThreadLock. Excellent value.

Product is as promised with all parts necessary for installation. Excellent quality and works very well. Good cord length also. Company also responds quickly to questions and to resolve any issues.

Fit well but had to use old screws the ones that come with it were no good. Used on old snowblower worked well.

I would recommend this. It was less than 1/2 the price of my local small engine shop.I recieved the starter in a timely manner. It was easy to install and work great. I've only used it 3 times so far and time will tell if it stands up to the constant use during the winter. So far so good.

Easy plug and play

Although I haven't needed to use it yet, the starter matched up perfect to the one I had on the snowblower. The change over was quick and easy, only four bolts involved. I would recommend this starter, and the price was very good. Received the starter in good shape and in only a short time.
