Wouldn’t stick
It wouldn’t stick to the surface. Disappointing.

Easy and works
I have installed window plastic every year on my patio door. This product is one of the best. The adhesive stayed on the wall! In years past, even with cleaning, that hasn’t been the case. I can tell an immediate difference after installing this in draft reduction.

Doesn't shrink, fragile when cutting
The plastic portion was difficult to cut and is quite fragile; I couldn't cut it on a straight line, it shredded into small pieces as I cut it. It also didn't shrink much. The product I used last year (3M? but couldn't find it this year) was so much easier to use and the hair dryer shrank it perfectly so you could hardly see it. I think it will work to stop drafts anyway.

This Thermwell Do It Best Door Insulation Kit IS NOT UP TO THE 3M STANDARD
Purchased this Patio Door insulation kit after years of satisfaction with the similar kits manufactured by 3M. I did this because the 3M kit was sold out from Amazon Prime and I wanted to install it for the upcoming "weather". Now I know why 3M products always sell out: they're better. First off, the adhesion tape is imprinted with FROST KING, the manufacturer. If I had seen that beforehand I wouldn't have purchased it. Prior experience with Frost King tape has been poor: difficult to remove backing and more importantly difficult to "lift" the gently placed vinyl sheet up for re-positioning to tighten the sheet prior to drying. Second, it was impossibly challenging removing that first bit of tape from its backing for initial placement. Third, lifting the sheet after gently positioning it for tighter fit DID result in its tearing several inches, something that has never happened before with 3M tapes/vinyls. Fourth, both length and width were off by several inches. This meant that one end of the vinyl was too short and had to be set on the interior of the window frame. Needless to say, unlike 3M there was no "overage" to trim down. It was too short. Finally, being unable to make it as tight with initial placement as I had done for years with 3M, the final hair dryer drying process resulted in a less than smooth/clear surface. Very disappointing. I'll be placing another order for the 3M product once it returns to stock and I'll re-wrap my three panel patio door. Correctly. What's the saying? Penny wise, pound foolish.

disappointed in product
Product easily ripped when putting up, and we were extremally careful handling the plastic.

Not great
Ordered this for my patio door (80"x58"), figuring this would be more than enough to cover it. Opened the box and there was a huge section that was torn off from the bottom of the sheet, so there was no way this was going to cover the entire door. So I decided to just piece meal it together, but then found that the adhesive is less than stellar and the plastic rips VERY easily. I cleaned the walls 3 times and allowed them to dry, followed the instructions to a T and the adhesive still pulled away from certain areas. Ended up going to Lowes to purchase more tape, now my sliding glass door looks like a pitiful excuse for a stained glass window with no color and patch work tape and plastic over lapping, would not recommend this product.

Cheap quality materials
Materials were incredibly cheap. Plastic wrap tore several times while unfolding it from the package, and the adhesive wouldn't hold. It's like an ad for buying 3M instead.
