Great gift for Dad in waiting!
I wish I could give this book ten stats! There is not a lot of stuff available that is geared towards husband's of TTC wives and it's sad honestly. I came across this book and ordered for my husband as we are starting into our first IVF cycle . I want him to be able to have an outlet when he isn't sure how to deal with his feelings and how to help him get through this journey with me. This book from the first page is humorous ( let's face it, infertility sucks and you have to laugh where you can to stay sane) and it is informative! From a man's perspective on infertility and I have to give credit where it's due, this man has paid attention! Highly recommend for the dad's to be, dad's in waiting - you won't regret this one!

Best fertility book ever!
For those of us who are faced with infertility, there is rarely much to laugh at. This book puts a comedic spin on the painful journey. I was actually able to get my husband to read this book with minimal arm twisting. We were just getting started on our fertility journey and my DH was completely unprepared. I read the first few pages and was hooked. It's written by a man and aimed at other men, but women will appreciate the facts it supplies and humor with which it does so. The author frequently reminds husbands that no matter the cause, fertility treatments are much harder on their wives. And when it's time to start giving shots, he tells the guys "This is gonna hurt her worse than it hurts you, so man up! Just do it already!" He also reminds them that it's ok to cry with their wives, which is something we often need. He opens up about the emotional turmoil that comes from months, sometimes years, of injections, tests, surgeries, procedures, and mechanical, romanceless, goal oriented sex. This book prepared my husband and I both (as best as you can be prepared) for the stressful world of infertility. I would recommend it to anyone facing this hurdle to parenthood. It will make you laugh. It will make you cry. But most importantly it will inform you.

A humorous take on a truly difficult process
I do not usually write Amazon reviews, but I feel like I should for this book. Like many others here, I purchased the book for my husband as we are undergoing fertility treatment. We have been in the process for almost a year, and it truly takes an emotional and physical toll on you. So I thought this book would be helpful to give us a bit of a positive lift. I'm so glad I bought it. The author is such an illustrious writer and I truly admire how he was able to explain complicated processes using funny and witty analogies. Like many other reviewers, I also learned many things that I did not know about, and it helps to see things from a male perspective as well. Highly recommended and baby dust to all!

Love this book!!!
I bought this book for my husband to help him better understand the world of infertility. Usually, if it isn't a sports book, he won't read it, but he absolutely LOVED this book! He found it funny and very interesting and it has really helped him to understand various infertility diagnoses, medications, and treatment options. I think it has been instrumental in offering him renewed hope and he now understands what our doctor and nurses are talking about when he attends appointments with me.I read this book, too and it really does put a good spin on infertility. I never thought it could be presented in such a fun way. It helped ease some of my own stress, even though I had already read several other books on the subject.

Perfect......
Well what I found this book amazing, even I'm a woman (the kind that do all kind of research on every symptom and could spend hours reading about it), reading the book gave me more information than the one I already had, and I think that the thing about writing in a real language and I didn't have to use a dictionary to understand a word (not to mention that English is not my first language). So, if you want to really understand what's happen on a woman body and understand about men too READ THIS BOOK.PS. I cry on the part when you're telling us about the first time you were able to be at the sonogram, it was really easy to me being identified with you.

A slick book, on a slippery subject!
I totally hijacked my husband's e-mail to write this review. This clever book was a journey within a helpful guide that I didn't want to leave on the nightstand for the next day. It was so funny, I was laughing out loud throughout the book and my husband was constantly asking me what could possibly be so funny about fertility. Apparently, a tremendous amount of ha-ha funny mixed with familiar funny that was perfect. The writer is so good at giving supportive information on a tough process while also telling a wonderful personal story from his own guy brain. I mean the chapter names alone make it worth reading. This is a must guide for the guy in your life and he will actually enjoy it!

Finally a book for the husbands!
When you go through infertility, you buy a lot of books. And the truth is, they are mostly geared towards women. This is the first book that's geared towards men. I bought this book for my huband because he wasn't feeling like part of the process. I read about this book on the Resolve message boards and everybody was right. Buy the book. Put it in the bathroom. He'll read it. When I heard him chuckling in the bathroom, I knew we had a winner. The author presents a lot of information in a funny, accessible-to-guys way and now I think my husband knows more about the process than I do! I enjoyed it, too!

Brilliantly funny book
This book is a brilliantly funny look at the often perplexing world of male & female infertility and IVF. Written from a male's perspective, it de-mystifies IVF treatment and takes a lighthearted look at the journey couples take in their efforts to become parents. It is witty and doesn't take itself too seriously but also manages to impart knowledge to any man who may be embarking upon IVF and isn't quite sure what to expect. Great read!
