It works for a gen 5 echo dot
To answer my own question i purchased the cable and yes it works with the generator 5 echo dot with the clock. 👍

Works with Echo Dot Display model but not at max volume.
This did the job it was purchased for which was to free up a mains socket by using a built in USB A for the Echo Dot. I was surprised the mains socket did not supply enough oomph for maximum volume but to be honest this would have been unacceptable loud and probably quite distorted. Arrived prompt next day direct from Amazon. Previously one lost by the Royal Mail despite being tracked for 24 hour delivery.

Alexa now runs in my caravan without a 240v hookup
Bought to allow Alexa to work when away in our caravan when we are using the leisure battery instead of electric hookup. This works really well and can even use it with a portable battery bank outside of the caravan when we're sitting outside.

Works perfectly, using it to add Echo in to my car.
The media could not be loaded. Perfect for adding Echo Dot in to my car. Brilliant and works perfectly.As this isn’t an original power cable I had to purchase a “ground loop” cable in order to use the aud port on the Echo without static noise but that also works perfectly.I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

Makes your Echo spot 3rd gen. mobile............
Does exactly what it claimed to do. With the right adapter you can run your spot 3 from any USB power supply such as a power bank. Need to have 30cm long one as well as this long one. A good and useful addition to one's spot 3.

Correct presentation not having it all the way down when describing the object
The website stating that the cable can be use eith a charger thst gives out 2. vilts can be used. When I got it and started to use my charger with 2,4v it didn’t work to find out after scrolling it says you should have a charger that has a higher voltage

Good product
Used this as a replacement for the Amazon Echo packaged cable. Works well. Doesn’t fit quite so tightly as the original cable.

Funciona para Echo Dot 3a generación
Se me había roto el cable de Echo (tercera generación) y comprar el original me costaba lo mismo que comprar el echo entero (aparato y cable) osea, 20 euros. Y bueno, por 11 euros este hace la misma función. Es cierto que primero lo conecte a un enchufe que debía de tener otros v/w y no me funcionaba, pero lo cambié a otro que tenia y genial.

Funktioniert mit Echo Dot 4
Zusammen mit einer USB-Steckdose, welche 3.4 Ampere liefert, habe ich den Konverter heute in Betrieb genommen, um meinen Echo Dot 4 im Badezimmer zu betreiben, wo es nur eine Steckdose gibt, in der normalerweise der Fön steckt. Es funktioniert alles, wie ich mir das vorgestellt habe.

Broken now...
Broke a few weeks ago - only plugged in once to power an Echo Dot from a USB receptacle. Doesn't seem to have been durable for full-time service.
