Glad it came with instructions. Installing is a little more complicated than a regular toilet seat. I had major problems with the holes of my toilet being too large for the new hardware so I re-used the wing nuts from the old seat.I've had this seat for a few months. The plastic hinges creak like crazy. They are white plastic hinges inside metal tubes.The adult toilet seat is a little narrower than standard ones so it's a little uncomfortable but I'm not camping out so it's tolerable. The child seat is a little big for small toddlers. My girl is 25lbs and her butt's not quite big enough and her legs not quite long enough to sit without me holding her up under her arms. The magnets are strong, and the kid seat is flush with the back of the lid. It's easy to forget the little seat is there if you aren't looking for it. The magnets are probably too strong for tiny fingers but I keep the toilet lid locked down when not in use (separate product) so it doesn't really matter.Works fine. It is a very slow close which is a bit annoying when you just want to finish and move on, not say lengthy goodbyes to your biz.

Got this seat and paid a little extra because it said "soft close". When I got it out of the box the first thing I did was test the lid drop speed. At first I thought it wasn't slow or soft close at all and was a little pissed. I inspected the box and double checked my order on amazon. The box said nothing about it which I thought was strange. But then I thought, eh maybe I just need to install it and see what happens. I have a bidet attachment and was worried the screws wouldn't be long enough to fit - but they doooo! Once installed, the soft close works perfectly. I was not about to give up my soft close seat for some slamming seat I read about on the other reviews. Totally worth the extra money for soft close! YAY and of course now my toddler can use it too haha

Easy to install and clean.Like others said, putting the small seat back up snaps quickly due to the magnet so be careful!This is great and would love on all toilets we have!!
