Sheath for Panga Machete, Black Finish, Nylon

Three out of four hate it. One buyer (that would be me) thinks it's okay. Granted, it should be a little bit larger, but even as it is it will do the job. The trick is to be rather slow and deliberate when inserting the blade. It is, after all, a big blade with some severe curvature and it won't slip into its sheath like, say, a hunting knife. And then there's that big beak--it has to be fed into the sheath point first, then swung (as if on an axis) into the upper part. In fact, it's much easier, in my experience, to withdraw the blade--it's like the sheath wants to spit it out. I happen to have several machetes, all shapes and sizes, and I would advise any machete buyer, especially a first-time buyer, to purchase a straight- blade style (such as a Cold Steel Latin model). You won't have this ill-fitting sheath issue with a blade like that. 'Course, you will own a garden-variety machete that is devoid of personality, lacking the exotic appeal of a panga or a bolo. I'm just sayin.......

Deos not fit but better then using tape over the edge for packing or carrying in hand through brush.

I'd heard it was not the right sheath. The one I received fits perfectly and does what it's supposed to do.

Wrong description. This is listed as fitting the panga but it definitely does not. The part number appears to be the sheath for the Latin machete.

Did not fit the panga machete,it covered it some,but really poorly,I'll make my own,a waste of money

Not Close To Fitting The Machete!!

I got one of these but it didn't fit right and I returned it, it seemed to be really good quality though and I will buy another if I get a machete of the right size.
