Great fit for a small kitchen and it will reduce my costs in using my oven grill.
Great fit for a small kitchen and it will reduce my costs in using my oven grill. I have solar panels so I'm inclined to use electricity where I can. I use HG Microwave Cleaner spray and it keeps it in mint condition. It is well made and well-designed. It has a slot for the plug at the back, which is a nice touch if you are unplugging it.

Works for me and has many functions
Very easy to use, has many different functions to choose from and I like the grill option, it's really worth the money and it's easy to keep it clean. It's large enough to make a meal for a few people and looks very stylish, I like the touch pad style which is better for my Osteoarthritis.

Why must it beep so much?!
My 3rd Sharp microwave. The 1st was a big combination job, brilliant and long-lasting; 2nd was also a combination, but didn't last very long. This time I decided I only needed a very simple one, but it had to be big enough to take my 30cm dinner plates. Bizarrely, this combination one was £20 cheaper than the simple one, so I went for it. I haven't used most of its features, but it works fine for simple heating up, that being all I need it for, but it beeps excessively! The door button is easy to use, and it opens gently enough. One has to press the 'microwave' button before entering a time, which is pretty annoying - it should default to microwave - but the start button does default to 30 seconds microwave, and one can add to that with the time buttons, so not too difficult once one gets used to it. It beeps every time I press any button, and five times at the end of the programme - and it won't shut up if I immediately open the door, nor will it let me activate the Stop/Clear button while it's beeping. If I neglect to take my food/drink out of the microwave, it beeps (twice) again five minutes later, which can be helpful, but it also beeps (twice) five minutes after I have taken it out! Why? What is the point of that? Mobile phones can be set for silent operation of keys, so why can't we have a silent option on a microwave? (It should still beep at the end of the programme, but that's the only beep I ever really need to hear from my microwave!) It is very annoying that I can't use it quietly while husband is still asleep. An extra press of the Stop/Clear button removes the time display, to save energy, but it would be better if this were handled by a 'no time display' setting, rather than having to press the key again after every use.

2year Review
Microwave does not operate until you open and close the door (a safety feature if you have kids). It only start after pressing 30sec button or power then time. The older version any timer button would suffice and you did not need the door to be opened then closed again after the first timer cycle finished. The internal light is a warm light where a white light would be better. The fan also does not extract the steam that well so make sure to wipe with a dry cloth/paper towel. The good parts: loads of space, but element could be higher as e.g. pre-cooked rice (Uncle Bens etc.) does not turn in the bag as it gets caught between the grill elements above (not so good I know) but (marginal). I can fit my Sistema Rice Cooker in it easily, hight and width wise. Fairly easy to use and clean. Loads of cooking options. Was reasonable in value in its class at time I bought it 2 years ago and still going strong. [Touch Wood]. Hope this helps someone out there 👽.

You get what you paid for
It looks good but is smaller than I expected. Not bad but you get what you paid for. Other people might have find this Microwave suitable for them but it doesn’t meet my expectations. It is my bad as I expected more but paid not enough. For me microwave seems to be too small, not powerful enough, it has lot of programs but using them is not intuitive at all. It does have good looking, nice and bright lights, clock with Eco function, it’s fine. Soft buttons could be more soft or sorry, yes the are soft but if you find them under the plastic cover which is not so easy sometimes. Finish ding dong sound had became irritating being noisy x5 dingdongs at end of process. Imagine if you are heating a couple of small portions of food at time. It could have an “quite mode” or so. Finally It is good item if you are using it occasionally or you are single or small family. But if you expect something like professional grade it is worth to spend more money on it.

Not as good as they used to be.
I have owned Sharp microwaves before and was very happy with them. After just a few months the film over the buttons I use most [1 minute, 10 seconds, Start] has worn away and the metal is visible. The film is not durable enough. Otherwise it works fine. Just looks bad... .
