"K&B"
The author, John Epstein, writes in his book on K&B Drugstores that K&B invented two store innovations. The first was that K&B developed a private label brand in the 1940's. The private label branding included many items from cosmetics to ice cream. Another innovation was that that K&B was the first to encourage customers to chat with pharmacists.

A Treasure
This K&B book is truly a treasure for any New Orleanian remembering the days of K&B drug stores. My Mother worked for K&B until her retirement. She was an original "soda jerk" and could make an awesome Nectar Soda or Chocolate Malt! These were the favorites of the soda fountains. This book brought back many memories of the stores with the vintage pictures and stories. I had to purchase a second one for my oldest son who remembers his Grandmother in her white uniform behind the counter. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it highly.

The New Orleans corner drugstore
I grew up with Katz&Bestoff and rode the streetcar there to get nectar sodas with my children. This account of KB's history is accurate and concise. The KB logo is a treasured New Orleans icon . This book is an interesting read and a story of one amazing Bestoff family.

Father's Memories
This is a wonderful book about K & B Drug Stores. We just wish that it was larger with more photographs. My Father worked for K & B for many, many years. He greatly enjoyed this book. He worked with almost all persons mentioned in the book. He is 97 years old and this book brought back many good memories for him.

Purpled Paradise
This little book is a pure delight. All Louisianians will recall the beloved drug-store chain that lined the streets of New Orleans (and her environs) from 1905 to 1997. Mr Epstein's work, filled with photographs, will give purpled pleasure to all who remember!
