I purchased this lighter a while back, maybe even a year ago. I only needed to light a few candles, so I had not used it that much ...... but then I decided I would burn all of my white sage and not use it anymore (I am trying to be more simple and minimalistic). So, I was outside, trying to have a little relaxing hypnotic sage burn session, and right away the lighter conked out. I recharged it and it held like half a charge at that point. I realized that the lighter was a dud and would not hold a charge. So, I contacted the company, and as I had wanted, they didn't "ding" me for not performing the role of product tester when I first got this lighter. I only used it as I normally would, which was lightly, and didn't test it out to see whether it was in proper working order or not. I would have had to teach myself how to be such a product tester, too, being that I was not familiar with these lighters. I did none of that, and just was the buyer/consumer as I am. The company didn't "ding" me for only being the buyer/consumer, and they sent me a new, working lighter. And I can tell immediately, now, that it works much better than the first one. It has a stronger electric or plasma arch, the way it should be. I'm so happy now!!! The company was really easy to work with, which I think is fair, since I paid for a working lighter and never got it, so at this point they should make things as easy on me as possible. Anyway, eventhough I originally got a dud, the company took care of the issue, so now I can be a happy customer and let others know that the company backs up their products. Order with confidence, and I highly recommend!!!

Easier to light up my candles with this as it is long enough, it feels good to hold. It is a bit hard to light up the wick of the candle as it sparks but overall much better than those grill lighters IMO

Works really well and is extremely simple to use. Lasts quite a while and is just as effective as a normal lighter but in my opinion, safer 💕

This product was great for 3 weeks. Started on a full charge and stopped working when the lights indicated that it was still halfway charged. I charged it, the lights indicate that it is 100% charged but it still doesn't work. I'm just glad it died before the return window.[Update] I cleaned the wax residue off of the two prong type things and charged it for a few days and that seemed to help but the lighter still doesn't work consistently. It will either work once before you have to charge it again or you have to push the button a few times. The product is still too finicky to recommend purchasing but if you have on make sure you keep it clear of any wax residue. Also, the free replacement I received is matte instead of glossy and seems to be more powerful.I've been interested in these electric lighters for a while but hesitated to buy one because the reviews for every brand always say they don't stay charged and/or they stop working. So learn from me, unless you need to avoid flame lighters for some serious reason, skip these or be prepared to buy them pretty regularly.

I’ve had several different brands and models of USB lighters, but this is my favorite so far. So many of them either have a wildly short battery life or seem like they have some kind of gimmick at the expense of ease of use. This one, thankfully, just simply works. My only quibble is that I wish it had a bendable extension at the end to make it easier to light more awkwardly located candles, but given the bad luck I’ve had with so many of these I’ll deal with that.

UPDATE to my earlier review. The Amazon robots are not color blind! I'm just blind! Unboxing the new units, they are black, although the pic on the box is champagne pink. I didn't see that a different barcode sticker had been placed on these boxes and the (very very) small font under the barcode says that the units are indeed black. Sorry for earlier confusion!
