a nice addition to my collection
This is an awesome figure to have, especially if you have the newer AT-AT and need a commander figure to go with it. I have the other "AT-AT Commander" figure which doesn't exactly look like General Veers, but does have the full body armor that protects his chest and back. This General Veers figure resembles the actor more, but does have the issue with the body armor not covering his back. It's not a big issue for me, and it shouldn't deter you from getting this figure. The color of his helmet and body armor are more blue-ish in tone, but it does seem more movie accurate than the flat grey on the other figure. I like having both, as one can be General Veers and the other figure can be a "second in command" . I didn't take it out of the package yet (as it's a Christmas present to myself) but the legs do not appear to be jointed at the knees (I could be wrong, but it didn't appear to me that the knees bent) but I see there is articulation in the elbows and shoulder areas. Overall, he makes for a great imperial addition to my AT-AT and AT-ST fleet, and I got him at a reasonable price (put it in your wish list and watch the price fluctuate! and then buy it when the price goes down)

Great - as advertised
I have the large, to scale AT-AT and I needed a full crew for it. I was lacking General Veers, so I bought him. That simple. It's a great figure and it does exactly what I want it to, stands in the cockpit behind the driver.

Good compromise
I chose The Saga Collection version because the one from The Vintage Collection is way too pricy on the market right now! This one has cheaper articulation features, but shows good detail. I wanted a General Veers for my 2010 big AT-AT (which is the same as The Vintage Collection's). There is one weird thing though: it smells funny! As if it has been stored in a humid environment.

Welcome changes in a new sculpt.
While Hasbro could have just used the same old mold from their AT-AT version of this figure (and many would argue that they should have made that sculpt available in something other than a (...) vehicle,) they went back and made a figure that looks authentic whether it's in it's "standard" Imerial Navy uniform or his "Action" armor. It's little improvements like this that might keep fan buying these old Star Wars character figures for the next few years until the new cartoon series finally starts.
