HONWELL Picture Light Remote Control AA Battery Operated Wall Lights with 180 Degree Swing Arm and Brightness Dimmer Indoor Using [Energy Class A+++]

I wasn’t holding out much hope for this light to be honest. Had purchased a more expensive battery powered picture light for my hallway both to highlight a piece of art on the wall and brighten it up at night as it was so dark. The battery powered light was terrible, ate batteries within hours of switching it on and had to return it. Ordered this as a replacement, for less than half the price. Arrived well packaged but in an enormous box. Looks a bit cheap up close but I have to say once in the wall looks absolutely fine (and I am quite fussy!). There are screws provided to drill and put the back plate on to the wall though I didn’t want to use that as didn’t want to damage my wall. I used command strips initially but the light pulling forward was too heavy and kept dislodging them. Have used gorilla glue squares and has worked absolutely great!The light has 3 modes, blue, warm, and a mix of both. I have it on warm and it is a perfectly acceptable warm light. It is bright enough for my hallway. You can put it onto 50% brightness ans adjust it whatever level you want with the remote control. There is also the option to switch on/off and between the blue/warm colours at the side of the light itself. I do have the light on for quite a few hours at night, the manufacturers claim it will give 60 hours however this must be at less than 50% brightness. On full charge (which takes about 3 hours) I probably get about 10 hours at full brightness before you see it noticeably dim. However it is a really easy process to just lift it off the wall and recharge overnight. Overall I really do recommend this, my only question is how long will it last…?

Bought these to add illumination to an exhibition stand. Very neat, seem well made, good brightness and batteries lasted around 15 hours. Would probably be fine as a light for a picture at home if you could put up with battery changes .

Reasonably easy to install, the spread of the light doesn't go down to the bottom of the painting but works well for the top half.It's a pity that the light is visible and not purely focused on the painting

Stunning gold colour, currently used over the gallery wall. Definitely creates a classy finish. Battery life seems to be holding up so far.

I bought this to brighten up a dark corridor which happens to have pictures up, so I thought a picture light would look smart. I'm quite pleased with it. It looks good, was easy to install and comes with a handy remote. I like that the colour (warm or cool) and brightness are adjustable and that you can set a timer (although I would have liked longer than 120 minutes). It's fairly lightweight and feels a bit cheap so time will tell if it's worth the price. I think when it's on the wall you can't tell it's plastic in places and ultimately it's cheaper than having one wired in and looks nicer than any plug in light with a cable dangling.Edit after several months of use: The battery life isn't that great. I have this on for maybe 3-4 hours in the evening (which will increase as we move into the winter months) and I currently have to charge it every 3 days to maintain the brightness. Annoying and disappointing.

The media could not be loaded.  Easy to put up. Good instructions and also has a spirit level to help. My batteries in the video where running out so the lighting was low. But if you have fresh ones or rechargeable’s you get a really good light. The lights can be moved to many positions and can change the look in a second. The controls are fab, you can dim or put on full. If you loose it, it has a on/off on the light. I am really happy with the entire look in my room.

Used to spotlight a specific item

I like this product: we ordered two x black, two x silver. The two black are up and I want to order two more but sadly can't find any anywhere, definitely not on Amazon. Does anyone know whether Honwell are still making the black version? By the way they are very easy to put up but they do need you to drill a slim hole in the wall and use a very small rawl plug/screw if you have thick brick/plaster wall like we do. But was fine once we did that. Remote very easy to use. They are not what I would call 'unobtrusive' in the black, though of course they might be in the silver or gold.

Ein sehr gutes Produkt.es lässt sich super dimmen und die Helligkeit hält was sie verspricht. Mehrere Leuchten können mit einer Fernbedienung bedient werden. Die Montage ist sehr gut gelöst. Eine kleine Wasserwaage ist in der Wandhalterung integriert was ich sehr praktisch finde.

J'avais besoin de lampes pour éclairer quatre tableaux, deux dans le salon et deux dans un couloir de la maison.Je ne voulais pas gâcher les murs, les lampes à piles (3 batteries AA) sont donc parfaites. De plus, ils sont livrés avec une télécommande très confortable à utiliser, car autres lampes similaires ont un bouton auquel il faut accéder.La lumière qu'ils donnent est parfaite à mon avis et les deux sources de lumière peuvent être orientées indépendamment. La télécommande vous permet aussi de régler l’intensité de la lumière, et une minuterie pendant 15, 30, 60 ou 120 minutes, ou fonctionnement ininterrompu. J'ai opté pour le modèle noir, parce que je pense qu'il est le moins visible qu'il s'agisse de lampes en plastique. Elles sont très faciles à installer: seulement deux vis, et le support apporte un niveau à bulle intégré, ce qui est très pratique.

Mit einem Einsatz von Akkus stört der Batteriebetrieb nicht, da der Wechsel der Batterien sehr einfach und schnell zu machen ist.Der Lichteinfall kann gut und variabel eingestellt werden. Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Die Materialqualität kann nicht mit den teureren Bilderleuchten konkurrieren.
