Good tamborine used for music therapy does the job well and not too heavy and durable as does get used frequently and takes quite pounding. Good value for money.

This is a lovely, good quality tambourine. The edges of the metal aren't sharp, so it's fine for my one-year-old. Nice sound - not too irritating even when played loudly!

I teach classical ballet and needed 4 tambourines for show. These are the real thing, good quality and will last years. Not really a toy as much as a musical instrument.

After reading the last review of 5 stars, I bought this as a gift for my nephew for his birthday. When he got it, he immediately played with it but within 1 minute (LITERALLY!) the cover bit (where you tap your hand, i have no idea what you call it, but hopefully you'll know what i mean) RIPPED and now there's a BIG HOLE in it, which was quite embarrassing for me as it implied that i bought a RUBBISH gift.I have also noticed that the tambourine that i received has ribbon INSTEAD of metal studs around the edge. So the picture is very MISLEADING. Although it is made from wood, the centre part is made from very CHEAP paper which made it easy to rip. I have decided to restore that part with leather. Hopefully that will be much more durable!
