Walden Backyards Ash Scoop - Stainless Steel - Pellet and Coal Shovel - Fireplace and Fire Pit Cleaning Tool

I am using this scoop to get charcoal out of my grill after using. It is much better than my previous method of using a tiny dustpan. The scoop is well made & definitely could be used for other things. It is not too heavy but it is sturdy. It seems like it will last awhile.

Just what I needed and it seems to be standing up to the abuse I give it.

Perfect for cleaning out fireplace whether the ashes are hot or cold. Holds a large amount. Much faster to clean fireplace.

This comes with the blue plastic that protected the sheet metal still on. It’s a pain to get this off, since it is stamped and formed with this plastic on. The metal is very thin and a bit sharp. This looks pretty if you get all the plastic out of the crimped edges, but that’s going to take a lot of work. Zoom in on the picture and you can see blue plastic around the base and on the handle joint.This is not bad enough to return, but if I saw this in a store, there is no way that I would have purchased it. Too expensive for the quality.

I like the fact that I was able to use this for several things related to bbq. I originally purchased this ash shovel to clean out my Weber Smokey Mountain. Then I realized I could also use it to scoop charcoal out of the bag and my charcoal bin. I started to buy a scoop for this but I was in my yard and I just started scooping charcoal with it and it worked great. One less tool I have to buy now. It was a great purchase.

Great product, I need to buy anther. It is very durable.
