FUJITSU ScanSnap S1500 Scanner W/New Adapter, Cable, Cord, Scanned Page (Renewed)

This is my go to brand for a stand alone scanner. I have used the more current version, but don’t like the interface. Hardly ever jams. I use it every day in my office so it gets used a lot.

The seller stated that this product was a good product. It was not did not even have the disc didn’t even have the proper wire to go with. It had to return. It cannot believe how people really lie about their products. Don’t put a product to sell unless all parts come with it, and unless you tell the truth that it works.

I purchased this exact scanner when it was first released to the consumer market. At the time spending nearly $600 on a desktop scanner seemed out of my reach. I used to repair extreme capacity Fujitsu scanners designed for the banking industry's new check retention requirements. These were about to process 500+ checks per minute with perfect clarity. This is what clinched the decision to but the original S1500. I don't know what condition this came to the refurbishing facility, but when I received it, I was amazed to see that it looked brand new, and its functionality was just "as new". The only issue I could possibly see is if it had an issue and you didn't have experience working on this exact model, you could be SOL as PFU/Richo/Fujitsu has discontinued all, and I mean all support for this model. This scanner is just awesome and does a far superior job that its lesser cost counterparts of other brands.

My old S1500 died finally after close to 15 years of use. I bought this rebuild and the original software was included. I cleaned up the old software and installed the included software that I couldn't find online. Now the refurbished S1500 works as new...and so does my old "broken" one. The issue seemingly was a software issue. I'm keeping both machines. The refurbished machine was about a third of the original cost of the new machine. For that price I'm keeping both and scanning on....Great buy!

While it worked, it scanned documents quickly. I had one previously, so I thought this would work nicely. It did, until it didn’t. I got about a month and a half out of it before it started making terrible noises. Thankfully, it did this within the return period.

Used services of an it to download because no manual or access instructions included with this renewed unit. Works very well.

The FUJITSU ScanSnap S1500 Scanner W/New Adapter, Cable, Cord, Scanned Page (Renewed) is an outdated non manufactured scanner that the seller assured you would receive the original software to use with a computer. Without the software the product is useless, the current manufacturer no longer provides the older software to use with the scanner. It is obsolete. When I received the scanner it had no paperwork or software promised by the third party vendor. It was returned within 1 hour of receiving the item to Kohl's and I have the return confirmation. When I contacted the vendor, nice but told me it came from an Amazon facility and he could not help me. After numerous calls to Amazon and promising twice it would be refunded, I finally received confirmation yesterday. Don't waste your time with this 3rd party vendor.
