Derby Originals Horse Tough 600D Ripstop Waterproof Winter Dog Coat 150g Medium Weight

We have had a lot of trouble trying to find a coat for our Malamute that fits. She is 28" neck to tail, 38" in girth and 133lbs. This is the 4th coat we have bought and finally one that fits well enough. The girth strap is a bit too long but because it is velcro, I can cut it when I am sure that I have the best fit. The coat comes down well onto her sides and because of her shape, it actually tucks under her belly somewhat leaving only about 2 1/2 inches exposed, helping to keep her a little dryer underneath. I like that about it.Unlike the pictures, our jacket has two front buckles (maybe because of the size?), an improvement in my opinion, because of the extra depth mentioned above, it comes down a little further on her chest too, again, just more help in keeping her dry.The side gussets are very good and roomy, allowing her to run at a full stretch and the coat sat still on her.It is easy to fit, I just left the front buckles done up and slid it over head head and down. It's her first jacket and she didn't seem bothered by it at all.I will add a picture later and update the review after a few wears, but for now I would say this was an excellent choice. It is a very well made jacket.Updated Jan 1st 2020, Our Mal has worn this three times now and it works very well. It stays put and when I took it off her back was not overly warm and was completely dry. Still very pleased with this item. I still haven't cut the overly long velcro strap, but as it hasn't been in her way, I will wait until I am sure.

10/10 would buy again. The blankets themselves are WONDERFUL! One came with a small stain- but I bought it for my goats and it's gotten dirtier since. I bought an XL and an XXL because one goat is a bit wider than the other (45 inches around the girth). My goat swims in the XXL but it is the ONLY jacket that will fit around her middle! (I am going to try to punch extra holes in the straps to see if it will fit better- if not I will add velcro to the front flaps.) The other fits perfectly! 4/5 stars because the shipping took days longer than prime shipping promises and the second jacket was not marked out of stock- yet when I questioned amazon about the location of the second jacket I was told it was. I will order more when my goat babies are adult sized and potentially for my dogs.For the interested: both are Nigerian x Nubian cross.

December 2019. Absolutely fantastic product! I purchased 2 XL of these coats for my dobermans who have deep chests. That would be 26.5 inch model. They are both around 65 lbs each. The coats have lasted over 2 years and because I'm careful, I don't rip them off, the Velcro is intact on the sides and they wash and wear easily in the machine with no stitching having come undone. The coats are a little big, so I may downsize but they are a great investment for the price! Looking to buying new ones this to switch it up when the others are being washed. For the really cold days, I layer a thin fleece coat under this one for extra layer of warmth.

My golden had a large for 3 years and this year it was a little snug (but let’s be honest, CoVid has made all our clothes a little tight) so we bought an XL and it’s perfect! Our little Schnoodle is sporting a size S. These jackets do not slip and slide around like most. Very high quality product and well made. The dogs have room to really run due to the extra fabric in the arms. We love these coats and so do the dogs.

I ordered the 17.5 size for my 45 pound dog. Her measured dimensions are a bit more (her back is 22”), but this fits great. I can put her halter on under it and she moves freely with the gusseted shoulders. She’s a black pit mix and the pink makes her look less menacing (she is actually quite friendly). She jumps with excitement when we pull out her coat for a walk.

I have the pink 26.5” and the red 28.5” for my one year old mastiff pups and they’re perfect! The 28.5” has plenty of room around the belly for Maverick to grow into it as he starts to get thicker. Right now he’s 135lbs and the jacket covers to his tail and I’ve got the belly band as tight as it’ll go because he’s still a lanky puppy. It’s so hard to find jackets for giant breeds, and this is perfect! They run and play like normal in them, they stay dry in the rain and snow. Love them!

Great quality and a lot more coverage than most dog coats. Warm and water repellent. Can't stress enough that it really is too large though. I read the reviews on that point and thought I would be safe with an XL. My Doberman was wearing an XL in another brand and it was way too small and I did the measurements. Unfortunately it is huge. I'm way too busy to organize a return and exchange for a large. I wish I had ordered the large. :(

My dog is a chaweenie...so she is kinda long and weighing in at 14lbs. I love the blanket quality and ease of putting it on...as you tell by her expression that I am crazier about it than she is. We also have two other blankets...one for a Dalmatian and another for a cattle dog. All the blankets are exceptional and stay in place nicely. I feel like I am blanketing mini mini ponies. We have horses that also wear similar blankets...just much bigger.

The X-Large fits my female Rottweiler perfectly! She's 90 pounds and has a chest of 35", back of 25" (the coat is a tiny bit too long), and a neck of 20".

This coats so tough and warm flossy my2 year old bull mastiff catahoula leopard dog x, will get lots of wear from it this winter

Excelente material, es ligera y el tamaño es un poco grande. Queda un poco ancha porque mi perra es cachorra de 10 meses. Pero el largo no es muy grande ya que no es muy larga. Compre el tamaño que recomendaban para Golden Retriver y Pastores
